Does anyone reuse syringe?
We're not talking needle here, just the syringe. If so, do you wash it out before re-using (e.g., with rubbing alcohol)?

No way, they are under ten pence each, not worth risking it.

Bro do not reuse any thing. It's not worth the chance of an infection.

I can see why reusing a needle is undesireable but if you run some rubbing alcohol through the syringe (i.e., the cylinder not the needle) before using more gear.....that should be ok right? Assuming the gear is sterile, I'm hard pressed to see a problem with that....What gives brother?

are you crazy and also cheap
throw the dam things away. I get mine at the feed and grain store for 50 cents a piece. My average cycle costs 600.00, im not going to scrimp on needles. Clean needles clean body. When i take the top off i pour alcohol on the needle it self.

I am cheap!
I'm not talking about re-using the needle......I'm talking about re-using the syringe.

loving the controversy
Back in the eightees, after I'd use the syringe I'd discard the needle and put rubbing alcohol in the plastic syringe. When I'd inject again, I'd empty the alcohol and draw from the vial with a new needle. It was never a problem. But maybe it's not a good idea. I just don't understand why though. Can anyone explain?

guys he's talking about the the tube not the actual point...if you find yourself short ...its no problem to reuse a couple of times but thats about it.

My bigest fear is getting an infection. I will not do any thing that would put me at risk nor would i advise it.

There free in the UK. So I'd never re-use anything at all. No need.

well i'm talking from experience my friend...and have never had a problem with reusing the tube and plunger NOT the actual point. But everyone is entitled to their ways of doing things. Then again havent done it i awhile as i got plenty of everything.

your talking about 20 bucks worth of syringes over a period of 3 months. The chance of infection is very low, but for 10 bucks a month why risk it?
Just so you know, plenty of guys get abscesses when practicing proper hygiene , your playing with fire. It's your body, do what you like.

NEVER EVER REUSE ANYTHING.

Dont reuse.
With that, if you must, try using Iodine to sterilze it along with boiling. It's easier to just buy them in bulk though, not to mention cheap enough.

I'm surprised so many people are jumping you for it. Some of our olded vets herehave been known to do this.
It's bad practice, but keep in mind that the actual syringe (plunger) part of the the entire thing is never touching anything unsanitary, the actual needle is. Unsanitary as in outside elements, skin, fingers, blood, etc. If you're using proper methods, the syringe itself should only be touching the substance you are injecting. As in, the inside only touches the steroid . Unless, of course, you draw blood during aspiration. If you absolutely MUST reuse, make sure you are being exceptionally careful and at least take some precautions to sterilze it. Are you going to get an infection from this practice? Eh, probably not, but who knows. Do you increase your chances of infection? Yes.
Take it a step furthur and dont aspirate , but now you're combining 2 bad practices. When its all said and done, its much cheaper and easier in the long run to just buy enough to dispose each time
I actually used to do this when I was doing 2 daily injections. Not because of price, but because the place I store everything wouldnt fit enough syringes for an entire cycle. My situation is a little different these days, so its not much of a problem.Last edited by newbrew; 01-05-2007 at 03:37 PM.

What concerns me is that we aspirate into the barrell before pushing the plunger so It's no longer sterile.
I wouldn't do it. No

Damn I have done around 5 cycles give or take and I usually always reuse the tube.....I switch needles every time but I use the same tube till the numbers fade away then I switch. Never once had a problem.

We have a magazine thats distributed here in Australia Called, " User's News" It's goal is to educate drug users about aseptic techniques and infection control. The main readers are heroin addicts who are IV users. I read an article about cleaning barrells for those crazy people who choose to share. The magazine would never advocate the re use of barrells but it did say that if your gonna do it at least do it the safest way possible. They recomended drawing bleach 3 times and rinsing with water, 6 times, sterile water if you have it.
I would never do it and I was very reluctant to post this cause I don't want to send a bad message if you know what I mean?

I hope McDonald's starts reusing their Big Mac wrappers out of the dumpsters. That is ALMOST as unsanitary.
Buy in bulk....ALWAYS use new shit.

Draw Pin
What about using the same pin to draw repeatedly but not to shoot? if you draw from you bottle then cap it and put it onto the barrel you just shot with then when its time to shoot again draw with it then replace on new barrel you just shot with , is that ok?
