Deca questions

Is it inevitable that you'll get tons of water retention when running Deca in a cycle or are some people more prone to it? What works best (in everyone's opinion) to combat this--Letro? Caber?

That is an estrogenic side and each person will experience this in a very individual way based on their own aromatization processes so tons may or may not occur. However, Deca alone is a notorious bloater which is best countered with a mild AI, or low dose Letro.

What are you stats, history and cycle plans?

I am 24, 5'9" and weigh 175 at about 10%. I'm just tryin to get some info together to do my next cycle for the winter.

I had luck with .25 arimidex a day during a cycle that included deca . I started the arimidex after noticing early bloat. Did the trick, I am pretty lean at 180 to 185 though. Others may need to up the arimidex to .33 or .50 a day if needed.

first cycle was test cyp 250 for 10 wks, got up to 180 pounds and lost everything eventually because it was a lot of water and I did no PCT. second cycle was test cyp 250 and EQ 300 for 10 weeks. Went from a super lean 165 to a still lean 175 and have kept all of that so far. I'm hoping my next cycle can get me to around 200 pounds and I can get cut from there. Next cycle won't be for awhile so hopefully I can get up to 180 again before I start. I eat around 3500 cals a day with all clean food and one cheat meal a week.

I know now that those dosages of AAS are really low compared to what everyone else takes.

Agreed...

...and if you want to see 20-25lbs of increase, you might want to up those to more standard dosages. Also, you only mentioned overall cals, be sure to keep your protein way up on cycle as well.

Magic, then considering the fact that everyone will react differently, what if someone were to blow up with excess water, what has worked best for you personally (or anybody else on the board)? Assuming the cycle would be:

1-4 d-bol 30mg/day
1-14 test cyp 500mg/week
1-12 deca 400mg/week

Any AI will alleviate this side effect, and although I prefer Aromasin I wouldn't recommend it until you know what to expect from a cycle because of it's high level of suppression. Letro can also have this effect and should be used at very low doses, so most elect A-dex.
