    Question/answer article
    Dr. Elliot Werner
(steroids belong to a group of chemicals that have a common basic structure. They are naturally accuring hormones that have a number of functoins in the boby. Estrogen, for example, is a steroid . Steroids are used in ophthmology mainly thier powerful anti-inflammatory effects
Q: What is a steroid responder?
A: Steroid responders are people whose intraocular pressure (IOP) goes up very high when they use steroids . That is a side effect of steroids. The basis of steroid responsiveness seems to be genetic
Q: Why keep a steroid responder on a steroid and use another medication
A: Sometimes the steroid are necessary to control some worse disease, and connot be safely stopped. Then you have to treat the IOP as best you can.
( Obviously an explanation to the steroid use in some eye patients as raised by some of you)
There is another website www.e-medicine.com, it is on steroid induces IOC and pretty long but a good read
So basically this reafirms what i was saying in that SOME people are going to have elevated levels in their eyes due to steroid use. It happened to me and it may happen to you. Just be safe!

This is turning into a wasteful animosity-filled thread.
I'm still waiting for a response to post #24.

You came here and freely posted an unsolicited declaration which paraphrased reads, "Steroids cause increased eye pressure, which leads to vision problems." You then proceeded to state that you'd performed research which verified this claim. Everyone who seriously read this has asked to see said research so...WHERE IS IT?

If you didn't actually perform any, but rather opted to take your doctor's word for it, that's fine. However, please refrain from lying in the future because you will be asked to substantiate any speculative information you provide, at least on this site.

My eye sight deterioated significantly after my first cycle. I cant be sure that it was the direct result of the cycle or pct, or whether just a coincidental.

My gut feeling - it was the clomid or nolva due to the fact that I only noticed a weakening well into pct.

I will never know for sure though, could just be natural aging.

    Good job man,you go boy!LOL!!
    Nice try!

Im not a doctor and haven't lead a study on the subject.
I think I've made it pretty clear on where I stand and MY situation and how roids COULD effect other people. In no way have I said that roids are going to effect everyone the same with respect to eye pressure but it seems as though that this is not made up from the article I posted. Apparently your reading comprehension is effected more so than eye pressure at this point. I have stated my experience. You say the thread has been filled with animosity but yet you call me a liar? You can't make people believe what they don't want to I guess.
