No sex drive after PCT

Details:

44 Y/O, 6'1", 220lb, 14% B/F

I completed PCT for my 2nd cycle on 8/25/13, the cycle consisted of Test-E 500/wk, weeks 1-12, Deca 500/wk, weeks 3-11, Test P 150/EOD weeks 13-14. PCT was standard Clomid 100/50/50/50 and Nolva 40/20/20/20 both for 4 weeks.

My sex drive before the cycle started was very healthy for my age, during the cycle it was crazy due to the Test, during PCT all was fine but now I don't have much interest in sex at all. I am able to have sex but do not enjoy as much and it takes a long time to reach completion (same partner for 8 years)

After my 1st cycle Test-E 500/week for 12 weeks and same PCT everything returned to normal and I did not notice any "down time"

I get all of my gear from the same source and I know it is GTD.

Any Suggestions?
Do PCT again?

I'm even thinking of taking a small maintenance dose of TEST to get back to normal, but I know this will put me into TRT and be a permanent deal

I had my Test checked a few weeks before the cycle started, and I am scheduled to get it done again next week

Did you use any ancillary meds to prevent E2 and/or PRL from becoming escalated?

Also, it probably would've been a good idea to end Deca earlier to give it some time to clear.

Good thing you had preliminary lab work done. Doing so is a good idea to compare lab values before and after if anything odd happens. If you simply have after cycle blood work, it could be hard to decipher what exactly is going on seeing as there is no baseline data. Everyone's "normal" ranges could be different.

I don't think shooting more test will fix this. IMO, I doubt your issue is related to low T.

...just a few thoughts.

shooting a small dose of test will not "get you back to normal"....your body has to get itself back to normal with or without meds.

Looks like you got nolva and clomid mixed up.

You didn't use an AI?

Go get bloodwork done so you can fix the problem before its too late.

HCG an AI plus caber or prami as a safety net is a must for any deca run. Everyone comes back different but I have run it many times with zero issues with this protocol. Safety first is the only way to go with deca I would guess your E was through the roof without these ( AI plus caber/prami).As well as deca being a 19nor HCG would have been more beneficial than ever. Don’t run a maintenance test dose that is a really bad solution and not even a solution. First get bloods done so you can actually see what is up then go from there. Good luck

I did get the Nolva and Clomid backwards on the original post, will correct that

I did Arimidex .5 EOD the entire cycle, HCG 500/week weeks 4-14, and Prami .5/ED weeks 3-14

I will not do the Test maintenance as I do want to fix this and not make it permanent

Im no expert man...but same thing happened with me with a simple test winny cycle...for about a month had nothing...just recently have mirning wood and libido back. Your body is just recovering...I say 3 more weeks maybe and the get bloods done.

The sexual side affect is fairly common for guys in their 40's running cycles. The HPTA was shutdown with exogenous Test providing the sexual drive. Your body's recovering now. Just give it some time. It may take 30 days or it may take 6 months. We're all different. I would get blood work to see where you're at and I wouldn't self medicate anything right now. Just let your body recover.

Fair enough... Look my friend.. truth is, the 19 nor's are very suppressive/ hard on the body. And even though it looks like you did everything right, your age does play a part in this case as well.

Just get your blood work done and see where your at, then go from there. It was my last tren /prop/winny cycle that did me in I think. After six months, a shit ton of blood work and 2 pct's later, I could never get my test much over 300ng/dl.

I then made the decision to go the trt route, hopefully it gets better and you recover... for now, plenty of cialis and yohimbe should do the trick!

I was planning to use Tren on my next cycle in 2014, this situation does not make that sound very appealing

Maybe 44 is a little too old to be hitting the juice this hard.

I am bummed because this stuff has changed my life for the better so far

No, 44 is not too old - look around.

But, it does cause damage & most likely it is harder to recover due to age and other factors.

Get, your blood work done. It will give you the best idea of what's really going on.

But, I have heard of deca shutting guys down real hard(lol). But, surprisingly enough you were fine all the way until now.

I am no expert after only 2 cycles but my research told me to do HCG during the entire cycle to prevent and issues, that has worked well for me

Will the Tren shut down harder than the Deca ?

DECA never had a problem . I'm 48 and wake with morning wood everyday . In cycle and after . But everyone is different

Just doing some research and ran across this old post... For anyone running across this in the future, Im 49, did 2 cycles with no issues at all, first one with test cyp, 2nd with test e, all the correct pct's, no issue. Did a 3rd cycle with test e and deca ...correct pct's, limp and no drive for about 3 weeks. I got real worried so got some liq cia, helped a little but eventually it did come back.

The deca myth isnt a myth for most. I'm staying away from it from now on.

How long did it take, the recovery? My husband has been having the same problem. He did a cycle with Deca and now since March, 2014 and it is now almost September he has no desire for sex. (NO He is not getting it somewhere else!) its almost 6 months. Does anyone know how long it can take? I am going out of my mind and he doesn't like to talk about it.

Well you really dug this thread up out of the grave. Your husband needs to get bloodwork done to discover the root source of his problem. If he has not recovered within the first six months after PCT then I doubt he will own his own without help.

But this doesn't fix any underlying hormone issues. Get the bw done and see where he's at. Only then can you know what needs to be done to correct the problem.

Post pics of your girl and I will tell you if that is the cause of your lack of sex drive......had to post this due to no one else doing it.

But I bet you have low t and need PCT will not help, just have to take test the rest of your life. Only blood work will tell.
