Does anyone expect a big difference in the level of talent in the next 5- 10 years, especially as the sport is growing???
catabolic kid for sure, talent will be amazing in the next 5-10 years, look at where the evolution is now.
Just watching old UFC VHS fights and now there is one major gap in difference.
MMA is young and has all the time in the world to become even better.

It just happens...you know like why are the germans, italians and brazilians so good at soccer but we suck? Why are the worlds most strongest men from eastern europe most of the time? Why are the russians and czechs so good at hockey?why do the chinese suck at everything? I just dont know

It is kind of like all of the fighters from the Militich camp say: we have nothing to do here in Iowa (no distractions), all we do is train. I think places like brazil and russia are kind of like a large version of Iowa, they do not have the distractions and they do is train.Last edited by catabolic kid; 01-24-2006 at 09:22 PM.

They actually matched him up with a guy who was his worst match up in dewees(ground fighter). I am just saying yeah pride has deeper talent but dont group the ufc roster all into one catagory of B level fighters. Also the next ufc 205 champ will be Renato sobral. He is so underrated its redicilous

The reason why most UFC fighters in all weight classes are not up to par is due to one huge contributing factor: $$$$$$$$$
Just how in the hell can a fighter take the time to train for a MMA fight when he still has a full time job? The UFC is ****ing guys over so big its pathetic with this BS $2,000 to show $2,000 to win.
I am more than ceertain this has alot to do with it, just name how many fighters in the UFC live soley on their UFC pay?
1. Randy Couture
2. Chuck Liddell
3. Matt Hughes
4. Tito Ortiz
5. Shamrock
6. Franklin i think is no longer a school math teacher (lol)
Most guys have to either work a day job or constantly fight in no name shows just to survive. The UFC can afford to pay more and Tito proved that. Most of the kids coming up could care less, they just want to fight in the UFC but at the same time are allowing Zuffa to bend them over...
Name one Pride fighter who has to work a full time job plus train and fight?
Quite simply MMA must be your full time job day in and day out to truly excel to the top...look at all the people Wand, Chuck, Randy, Nog, Rampage have around them helping them. They have strength coaches, physiotherapists, nutritionists not to mention their trainers/team.
Simply put, Zuffa is getting what they pay for..you pay shitty...you get shitty fights/fighters.
And to add insult to injury the TUF guys come out getting paid more than alot of vets...that is a slap in the face IMO.
