    Unhappy Ken Shamrock please retire

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WYYY...eature=related

Well after seeing this he is going to rematch the guy this summer.

I am a Ken Shamrock fan, i actually met in back in 1998 when he came to Montreal for a WWF event, he is a great guy.

I just hate seeing him fall like this, he is a legend in MMA and in is prime was almost unbeatable.

But now its time for him to retire, mabye get into b action movies or something.

I couldnt agree more. I felt the same way when he was fighting Tito Ortiz and then Kimbo Slice (before he pulled out of that due to injury), but then i figured you know what he deserves a couple good paydays. They didnt make money when he was on top so he deserves a few paydays.
At this point its just ridiculous.

Its a shame because he could end up going out like a bum.

Shamrock is still proper tough for a bloke well into his 40s though

It is hard to leave the casino with money . It's a psychological trick . You never feel satisfied , its the moments that you live for .
Fighting of any kind is like that. You never can quit and your chasing the winning high . This is a difficult story played out way to often .

Ken is in tremendous shape for is age, he made a lot of money in pro wrestling, he was on top of the WWE at some point, is transition from MMA to pro wrestling was amazing. Ken is never going to get another big pay day if he fights in Z graded MMA federations like them

I think Ken should have retired after the second time he was embarrassed by Tito Ortiz who himself isn't really a contender anymore.

ive trained with ken on off for years just recently had him and jim miller come up and stay with us for a week at my house.im a high level wrestler with decent bjj skills and ken caught me in a heel hook and dam near broke my ankle. he very strong but his chin has gotten weak , to may concussions. ken trains very hard and can still hang with anyone training wise.

The dude is one of the greats. I personally think his downfall was when he decided to change his game and bring in more standup. He just wasn't that good at it and like any competitor, he pushed it. Like all the greats, the more they put themselves in the limelight at the age they should have been retired, it just makes them look bad and takes points away from the legacy they left. There is very few people that could have competed with him on the ground when he was in his prime.

I remember the superfight with oleg T that ended in a draw if I remember right. That was a battle and olag's face showed the signs of how much punishment he could take and in those days KS could dish it out and take it too. But alas time and punishment catches up to us all! Our brain still thinks we are 25 but our body's are not. Sad to see so many in the fight game not being able to retire at the top, there are just so many that could be listed like Ali and on and on but it is what you do it is who you are and it is in your blood you live by the sword you die by the sword.
