    RIP Shawn Tompkins

Great loss to MMA community as Shawn Tompkins passed away Sunday morning, went to sleep and never woke up. My condolances to His family, wife Em and any one that new him. This is very hard news as he was 37 yo, way too young to move on...rest in peace brother...

Never heard of the guy but RIP. If it's gonna happen, sleep is probably the best.

He was one of the great striking coaches in MMA, was a trainer at Xtreme Couture in LV and later at TapOut in LV.

"On Sunday afternoon, it was reported legendary MMA trainer Shawn Tompkins had passed away in Canada. Reporter Mike Straka confirmed the unfortunate and unexpected news with Shawn’s wife, Emilie Tompkins.

Very little information has been released regarding the 37-year-old’s death, however an autopsy is pending.

The Canadian has coached countless mixed martial arts superstars throughout the years, including Sam Stout, Chris Horodecki, Mark Hominick, Goran Reljic, Vitor Belfort and Wanderlei Silva."
