I use oats PWO. But I feel that the protein should be quick absorbing, so I stick to whey or isolate.

Shakes (pref whey) will be quicker absorbing. I'll mix my shake in the locker room and by the time I'm home and out of the shower I'm already starving.

IMO a hydrolized from of fuel should come first then whole foods. Get something quicker into your body then some whole foods to follow.

Yup, a whey shake should always be taken in first. Then you can have whole foods.

yes, you can use whole foods instead, and anybody who disagrees is full of horseshit. I dropped my protien shakes about 5 weeks out from my last show, and I looked better than ever!!!

Agreed. I will always go with a whole carb sources, but will usually go with whey for protein.

I've gone both ways. It really doesn't matter.

Yes. I've gone half and half along with full dex for slin administration. I don't like using dex unless it's called for. I prefer oats as I feel it gives me better results and a fuller feeling.
