i've been taking my pre and post workout protein with apple juice instead of water. the taste isn't that bad other then the bitter sweet taste right when it hits my tongue. i guess what i was wondering is this the best way to go about pre and post workout nutrtion being i know it is the most important time to get the right type of nutrients. i know that here are other ways to get the carbs i need at those times like dextrose. i don't really have any knowledge on those other ways to get simple carbs. can anyone give any insight.

pre workout: protein carbs fat all #'s in grams
1 scoop whey 20 2 1
8 oz apple juice 0 28 0

post workout:
2 scoops whey 40 4 2
16 oz apple juice 0 56 0

is this way good for me or should i try something different. any insight or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
