So you're dedicated but lazy.. that's a weird combination.
or
His workouts are crap and you should be doing something else on your training days.
List a recommended routine? (one day for example)

now you, in your defence your come from from a gymnastic backround(a very demanding sport to say the least), and would have a huge leg up as some discipline is just as tough.
Do i think you couls do it? Hell yes, with a gymnast backround, PLUS you gotta weightlifter BF, come on! BUT, you gotta attack it like you were trying to beat dominique dawes in the olympic try outs.
Sounds like you'v decided that you r ready to take this seriously. So my advice, is clean up your diet(calculate the macros, nix the juices, nix the fat free dressings), listen to the BF on how to lift for maximum results.
remeber, some of these fitness chicks have been at this for 10, 12, or even 15 YEARS. This may take some time. Maybe a FEW years, especially to add the mass.(dont worry you wont get "huge" unless you use roids).

Good luck with reaching your goal.
Like said above, I'd higher a professional trainer who has experience with training this genre. His/her views on your training may be alot different than your BFs.

Update your macros per meal and totals for the day if you want a critique.
