Just curious if any ppl here are diabetic (like me) and have ever used/use Dextrose for PWO nutrition? I have always just consumed chicken/rice/veggies after a workout as opposed to going the liquid route and was just curious as to what kind of shock to the system 75grams of dextrose has on your blood sugar. Asked my Dr. and he said its a bad idea but, still I'm curious to hear others opinions. Yes, im under control & use an insulin pump so I dont see how taking 75grams of dex is a bad thing if I know how much insulin i need to take based on carb counting.
