    Soya Sauce

When it comes to rice, I usually use a ****load of soya sauce. The sodium is ridiculous in the shit but I also consume 8-12 L of water a day. Am I still retaining water from all that sodium or am I pissing it all out? What do you guys think?

if your water intake is high enough it won't be an issue. i shoot for 2 gallons, which really isn't difficult.

Nah, I'm not too worried about it...

I'm more concerned with using too much ketchup at times with the sugar content....

    Ketchup's an addiction.

lol, its funny you like that stuff Fez. I tried the ketchup and BBQ sauce and it was putrid... i had to stick to hot sauce on everything

however, if you get it from a decent grocery store like Ralphs, they gave me money back , no questions asked, even though it was opened.

teriyaki is usually loaded with sugar. i'd get a sugar free kind of you want to use it. or just use it in moderation.

I use at least 2 tbsp of soy sauce everyday. As long as your blood pressure stays in check, you should be okay. Drinking a ton of water will help this. I drink AT LEAST 1.5 gallons ED. One thing people don't realize is that sodium is a very important electrolyte for bodybuilders....offseason or pre-contest. It helps contribute to cell volumization, reduce cramping, and flow of nutrients to the muscle. Why do you think people sodium load the day of contests?? Becasue it helps fill out the muscle....sodium is very important. I know guys who have upwards of 7-10 grams ED in their nutritional protocols...jsut gotta keep the water flowing.
