    Beef Jerkey

    It's high in protein low in carb and fat.. trying to find a health snack.. good idea?

    Iron Bull is supposed to be a good one. Beware as many contain MSG, not good if you want to stay lean.

    also dried / cured meats tend to have a high content of sodium.

    i might start making my own beef jerky soon. i think all you need is a dehydrator, and it only takes around 14 hours to make!....i think

    I make my own all the time and use my oven. I even make turkey and chicken jerky.

    most commercial beef jerky that i have seen contain soluble nitrites or nitrates which aren't good for your long term health

    I also use bbq skewer's and let the meat hang like in the bottom pic on the site I posted.

    Give yourself some time. It takes a while! I also marinate over night for more flavor.

    wish i could buy jerky here in england, try $75 a kilo!! ( i like to buy everything in bulk, 50 kilos of meat, 10 kilos of whey etc etc)
