    Nutri-System food for diet

    Guys,

My wife eats nutri-system food and I was thinking about ordering it with her. I know the foods are great for complex carbs and glycemic index. Anyone have any thought on this strictly for a low fat low cal diet?

Also, looking to burn off a little lazy fat, how many cals per day do you think I should take in?

Had some surgeries etc... need to get back to around 15% for next cycle....

I am running a great cardio plan, but may consider this pre-packed plans like the nutri-system.....

I never trust pre packaged foods. It is a fad diet which is always skeptical to me. The company is not looking out for the client, they are looking out for their bottom line and taking advantage of the billion dollar diet industry. With enough research and food preperation you can make your own "prepackaged" meals with fresh food that has better nutrient profiles.

I agree, it is very easy to make your own food in advance if you have time constraints. Also, I would highly doubt that the nutri-system diet is going to have nearly enough protein for you and your workout needs.

Sounds like good advice. I will look into preparing my own.

Prepare your own. My dad is on Nutrisystem right now and he does like it but it's not really a diet for anyone that lifts. I'm just happy that he's on something rather than eating complete crap.
