Hard Workout, No Weight Loss?
I've been going to a personal trainer for about 2 weeks and I have been working out with him really hard and I've been running for about an hour a day (elliptical and on a track) and I just can't lose weight. I've been only eating about 1500 calories (he put me on this food program) in small meals but I have no lost a pound. I'm 5'9, 199lbs, 20% BF and my BF has no changed at all in the past two weeks. Can anyone tell me why? He said I eat too late at night (10PM dinner, sleep at 1AM, and I should eat at 7PM latest, but I think I should have lost at least something). Thanks guys

Did you just start working out for the first time? Are you taking your BF% accurately?

I never worked out seriously before until now. The tool he uses to measure BF is a little bit off he says, but we are only looking for a change in BF and it hasn't been changing really, maybe .5% in the past few weeks.

I think the diet is the problem.. your trainer seems like he might now the weight training aspect but has 0 knowledge on dieting...
Lets say you sleep at 1... so ur last meal is at 7pm... so lets do some math
7 too 1 am is 6 hours with out food...
1-7am (sleep) 6 hours without food so your essentially going 12 hours without food in your body wasting muscle...
Your trainer MIGHT have said cut out carbs by 7pm... possibly..
What is your diet like now Meal for meal

Agreed. I eat a pro/fat meal right before bed, sometimes in bed! Post up what your entire diet throughout the day is.

My diet:
Breakfast - 2 cups of special K cereal with nonfat milk
Snack - apple, sometimes two
lunch - chicken breast with salad (vinegar dressing, no oil, sometimes salt)
Snack - Banana and salad (and protein shake if I workout that day)
Dinner - Chicken and salad with a little bit of rice sometimes
Also I'm taking amino acid supplements, multivitamins, *****3,6,9 oils, and ZMA a night.

your diet is not in check imo. not enough protein, not enough carbs. Post your macros and someone with more knowlege will help you.

First it's only been 2wks..
SECOND, if that trainer wrote or approved that diet for you, FIRE HIS ASS NOW.
That's pretty bad.

yea, for workout music, you basically need hard-hitting euro-dance music.... nothing else does the job
really. Search around on iTunes for "euro club hits" or check this link:

What? 1500 cals for a day? And haven't lost anything? Well it's only been 2wks. But sheet, that ain't enough cals for your body weight man. The body can resist weight loss if you're NOT getting enough cals. That trainer is a newbie, lol!
