    Trying to Clean Bulk - UPDATE Added a different kind of diet, which is better?

    My goal is to get bigger, but be ripped and cut up. My ideal look is 6,8, or even better 12 pack hard look a lot of vascularity. I posted pictures on my thread in the main Steroids Question/Answer forum. I am posting my sample diet (today up to right now). Is this OK?

    I am 5'10 170, lifting 2 1/2+ years, workout 5 days a week, low cardio once a week. Again, I'm looking to be cut not massive and bulky.

    Todays Diet. The numbers are Calories, Fat, Carbs, Protein

    ONLY 4 meals?
    why are your carbs so high?
    do you have an idea of what macros your shooting for?

    honestly that diet is attrocious..

    why is it so bad? im trying to get my cals up. The macros I am trying for is 40-40-20 bulk.

    carbs are waay to high

    not enough protein

    make your meals real food instead of the protein powder stuff

    and that muscle milk is too fatty.

    Your goals are conflicting, difficult to recommend anything without a clear cut goal.
    Bulk or Cut.

    yea, i know my goal is contradicting. i thought the carbs were fine at 40-40-20.

    I think what they are saying is portion size for carbs is too much. need more meals like tai was hinting at.

    also, your protien is way to high for each meal. 40 grams is a max for meal size, need at least 2 hours after that for processing. need more meals throughout the day

    meh u cant really make a blanket statement like that.. depends on his activity/metabolic rate i.e. if he is active or sedintary.. the BA of the protein.. other macros involved.. amount of fiber and type of fiber..
    but you are right, he does need to get his macro's per meal straightened for sure.

    Way too many shakes. 3 meals with ON protein, 1 with muscle milk, and something with cookies in it in the other meal? and american cheese twice? Basically everything you're eating you're eating out of a box or a package, do you really think thats going to be a good diet? Are you aware of what a "clean" diet actually is? Some of your meals still have too much protein in them, and you still aren't eating enough meals. Your last meal being a shake is a bad idea, you'll end up catabolic at night. Try to eat whole foods. Sandwiches and shakes alone just arent going to cut it.

    i dont see how i can eat much more clean than this? chicken, tuna, fat free cheese how is that bad?

    I'd recommend that you decide your main goal - gain muscle mass or lose fat, because your diet is going to have to point to one or the other. Yes, they can happen simultaneously, but very, VERY slowly.
