    Cereal??

I’m sure I will get different name /kinds due to people all over the world is on the board but for those in the US…..

What kind of cereal do you eat?
Lately I’ve been slacking on my diet eating captain crunch, Trix, etc ( all the sugar kind ) and I was just wondering
What might be good out there that taste good & it’s good for you when on a cycle.
P>S I think the big reason I’m getting these damn crave for sweets is because of my girl being pregnant...

The cereals that are ok to eat usually don't have a cartoon character on the front.

I eat some Kashi cereals sometimes but usually just stick to plain oats with splenda.

I'd imagine cereals like Kashi, Fiber 1 and Shredded Wheat (w/o frosting) can't be that bad for you..... but I am sure there must be since it seems like everyone always says just eat oatmeal.

The problem lies in the fact that apart from oats and muesli pretty much all cereals are processed. The grains are ground down to a fine powder. Then mixed with flavouring ect. This powder is then re compressed into the cereal shapes (bars, flakes, Os or whatever). When this is ingested it is broken down much quicker than whole grains as it revert back to its powder. It then spikes insulin levels sky high as it is so high on the GI. Stick with oats for a slow release of energy with no crash/

GOOD BREAKFAST: Stick with Oats and Organic, Unpasteurized, Unhomogenized, RAW MILK. That's the best "cereal" breakfast you could have.

But since I have digestive issues, my breakfasts are either:

    1. Un-homogenized Goat's Milk Yogurt with Probiotic supplements, a Greens supplement, goat's milk Protein Powder, 10g Glutamine, and Epithelial growth factor supplement (to regenerate the intestinal lining), or

    2. Scrambled or Hard-broiled eggs with plenty of tomatoes and cucumbers (I can't digest bread, but if I could do so I would have some sprouted whole grain bread with this).

Those are awesome breakfasts. Increase the quantities depending on how much you're working out and your bulk/cut goals, and you have three very good breakfasts.

bumping just for beast's explanation of what a processed food actually is. many thing the whole grain is straight from the grains...l but in reality additives have been added that elevate insulin , which isn't what you're looking for with a quality grain. good post beast.

Same here mate. I cant eat dairy as it makes me have asthma and digestive issues. I tried goats milk which was better but still made me a little ill. I use plain water in my oats now.

oats for best results, but if you have a craving for cereal, kashi go lean crunch has some soy protein and some decent carb sources. wouldn't use it as a staple of your diet but tastes pretty good and aint too bad every once in a while in the diet

yo beast have you tried goat's milk yogurt? That's one way of getting some dairy but it's a hell of a lot easier to digest than cow's milk ANYTHING.

I use a special brand here in the U.S. named Redwood Hills Farm. Their goat's milk yogurt is the only thing that I can digest well...everything else literally makes me sick.
