It'd take 10+ servings of non-alcohol-washed soy protein (each supplying 125mg of phytoestrogens) to put any healthy male in the 'high-consumption' bracket.

If anything, males are at higher risk from milk and milk-based products.

Milk is taken from lactating cows.

    Lactation is female-hormone mediated.

And... the cows supplying milk for public consumption are administered hormones to increase and regulate the milk supply.

Subsequently, milk is a high-estrogen product.

    Estrogen.. Not phytoestrogens.

Keep that in mind when you're chugging your skim.

If thats the case, wouldn't all breast fed boys be at risk of something?

    At risk of what?

    1. Human milk and cow's milk aren't the same.

    2. Human's don't breast feed for their entire life.

We're the only animal species which continue to emulate breast-feeding after weaning takes place.

I've been reading an aweful lot about hormones and hormone triggers lately and I stumbled across some interesting facts about soy. Soy does contain molecules similar to human estrogen but this works for you and not against you. The key word here is similar, not bioidentical. It does not have the effects that estrogen does on the human body but it does bind to the estrogen receptors. Occupying the estrogen receptors signals the body that it does not need to produce estrogen and it inhibits the aromatase enzyme preventing testosterone from converting to estrogen. Drink your soy milk!

Don't use soy, it will create tumors like you wouldn't imagine, esspecially when combined with aspartame. Gyno like crazy, started to wear high heels. Soy is nothing to play with...
