    fizzy drinks

Are the diet type fizzy drinks ok eg. diet coke, soda water, etc. or if trying to keep a slim mid section is it better to avoid them altogether?
I heard that fizzy drinks even diet one's tend to bloat you.

    They're ok.

Furthermore, what ever water/sodium retention they contribute... has no effect on fat loss.

Ok, but some of them has high amounts of sugar as well in, right? Doesn't this influence a cutting diet?

The diet drinks don't have sugar and have zero calories. I think they're ok but don't replace them with your water intake. I usually hold myself to one or two per day because I'm sensitive to the diet drink bloat.

Ok, so what your all saying is that it won't have any impact on adding fat to the body, but it will cause bloating as in (water retention).

The thread originator asked if the 'diet type' drinks are ok.

And then he/she used sugar/calorie-free drinks as examples.

So... my answer is w/ regard to sugar/calorie-free 'fizzy drinks'
