Never cook anything over night, although nothing wrong with it, but I use a slow cooker on the weekends a lot. Simple and full of flavor. Throw in tons of veggies, meat and some flavor and you are done. Helps if you are in a dorm or don't have a lot of cooking skill...which is not me but for those in college or military with limited appliances. Just plug in.

* 4 to 5 boneless chicken breast cubed or sliced 1inch thick
* 1 bunch green onions, with about 3 inches of green sliced 1/2-inch
* 1 can (8oz) crushed pineapple, undrained
* 1 can sliced water chesnuts
* 1 tablespoon finely chopped ginger
* 2 tablespoons lemon juice
* 2 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium)
* 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
6-8 hours in the slowcooker and serve over brown rice/wheat noodles. Check every so often to see if you need more liquid. If so, just add small amounts of water or pineapple juice. Enjoy!

I use a crock pot all the time. And yes i cook it overnight, and as a matter of fact i did it last night. Chicken breast and thighs with noodles, carrots,potatoes,corn,green peppers. I'm going to try that recipe from StoneGRMI this weekend as well.
I think they also make those "cheap steaks", such as bottom round or top round or whatever they're called, taste 5 times better than grilling.
