    A cup of Oats...?

I was thinking about something today as I was choking down my cup of oats.
I am folowing a cutting diet and have been for a few months, when it says 1 cup of oats is that after there cooked or raw? Because 1 cup of oats cooks into alot of frickin oats, it more than doubles, just seems like alot. Plus I think im getting sick of them

they get old pretty damn fast. unfortunately the "1 cup" you have heard of is most likely a dry measurement. 1 cup raw oats equates to about 54 grams of carbs, about 10-12 of which is fiber, 10 grams of incomplete protein, and a few grams of decent fats.

There was a thread on this a while back and it seemed the majority agreed that blending your food is just the same as chewing it really well. Eat what you can and blend the rest

I've been doing whey with about 3/4 cup oats in a blender with about 16 oz of water. Goes down pretty quick that way. I personally can't stand to eat them anymore, but don't mind drinking them.

Yeah that's what oat flour is. I buy it by the pound at a health food store and mix it in my post workout shake. Much easier than grinding it yourself. Also, strangely the oat flour is cheaper than plain rolled oats, so it's cheaper than grinding it yourself too.

would oat flour be as good for you (GI wise)
i suppose its just the same!!!
they taste better when first blended if you leave in the fridge for any length of time turns thick and harder to get down
what do they taste like with egg whites mixed in?
