anyone ever tried eating like this?

Ive been doing research lately on diet for lifting. I have seen a couple sample menus and noticed that most of all those foods, prepared correctly, don't appeal to my taste. I hate eating food I don't like because when I try to its like my mouth dries up and appetite goes away. So i was trying to find a way get the food down faster and easier. Although the food would be even less appealing, it would get down and over with quicker. So has anyone ever tried putting all the food in a blinder with a little water maybe and drinking quickly? you're still getting all the nutrience...

Putting food in a blender does not change the nuturtional values. Go for it but I doubt chicken, eggs, oatmeal, brocolli, protien powder, and tuna are going to go down easy mixed together,

If he can find an easier way to do something which produces the same results, then he should go for it. This lifestyle is not about necessarily doing things you dont like. Its about doing what you have to do to reach your goals. Of course, there are some things we just cannot find an easier way to do, and in those cases you must preservere through. That does not negate the fact that in cases where you have choice A and B, where both produce the same result, but B is easier to do that you LOGICALLY should choose B.

This is simply not the case of one unwilling to sacrifice what is needed. It is merely an attempt to make the hard things easier.

    yeah...what he said!

when I was a kid my mom used to put my food in the blender...I wasnt the easiest kid to feed back in those days. as a matter of fact, latins do this all the time. the call it "potaje" - they will blend things like beans and steak...and trust me, its not all that bad!

same thing as baby food...isnt it!

man it seems like maybe you just don't know how to cook. Not bragging, but my food taste great and not dry at all.

Slenda/sugar free jelly put those in your oats and mix it up before you eat it. Put some good spices on your chicken/steak and protein sources. Just think how you can make the food good. It's not hard at all.

Right now I've got three beautiful chicken breast on the grill with lemon pepper seasoning on them, and a pot of rice cooking which i'll throw a little salt/pepper and spray some I can't believe it's not butter spray on it, and a bunch of broccoli wrapped in aluminum foil on the grill with the butter spray on it.

You gotta liven this crap up bro. That blender thing, imo will never work. That can't taste good at all. And I bet it'll also give you the shits.

I agree with this part, insofar as I'd personally rather eat plain chicken everyday than home-made baby food.

If he doesnt like the taste both ways, at least blending is fast.

But i do agree about the part that the food does not have to taste bad. There are so many healthy ways to make food taste good. It doesnt have to be bland.

i have done it and it helps me appriciate the crappy taste of all the foods seperate and prepared normally. on the other hand.... when you squat till you puke it comes up easier. it is like baby food but you will get very tired of this method. you would be better off learning how to cook your meals to your taste. however if the actual foods are what you have a problem with then you may need a new activity to devote yourself to.

a few guys on here were discussing the actual value of liquid calories. i realize that it is still the whole foods that you would be blending, but I still think there is a human component to eating whole foods. one, we may not fully understand. I mean, our bodies are built as complex machines to breakdown solid food sources. so if you can do that, I see it being the best way to diet. my $.02

yeah eating things hasn't been too hard except for eating so much. but i'm getting the hang of it slowly. I don't think i wouldn't of made it though if I wasn't putting things in the food to make them taste better though. I haven't tried the "i can't believe its not butter" spray yet but I will for sure. thanks guys.

its also worth noting that when you being chewing and eating, that starts the digestion processes. if you arent chewing and starting the process your body is used to, your stomach increases motility and therefore will miss on some potential absorption. all that aside from the previously stated metabolic lifts one achieves through eating.

I just dont see how its even possible to blend all your meals. For example say your eating 6 meals a day like most of us.....are you going to have access to a blender 6 times a day everyday? What if you dont......are you just going to skip out on eating? Half the shit i eat i dont like.....or maybe i used to like it but i've eaten it so much that now i gag on it..BUT as weird as that is.....its a lifestyle i wouldnt change for anything haha. I remember when i used to love eating eggs....now i throw them in my mouth chew them up and swallow them with water lol.

    I've done it.

Mostly when i've been pressed for time.

..or during contest prep, when tuna starts to get on my nerves.
