Lean Ground Beef%
So I bought Lean Ground Beef cuuz it was on special, but there wasn't a percentage listed(lean/fat). So what is the percentage usually, if there's one. I'm just gonna give it to a friend or something, I don't eat anything I don't know the macros of. Also, is there less fat if you GRILL it?

I used to work in 2 different meat shops, and the general rule was regular ground beef was 75-85% lean, LEAN ground beef was 85-95%, extra lean was usually 95% on the dot.
so that means it's between 15-5% fat, if my theory is remotely true in your case.

Thanks for the imforation bro. What I'm gonna do is that, since I have 3 meals including this meat, I'll account for the first meal that the beef is 85% lean, 90% for the other two meals. Today is my carb-up day, so I consume more cals than I usually would, that's why it's not too dramatic.

smash it all up and Boil it...it cuts the fat around half...then rinse it under hot water in a strainer.
I always mash boiled cauliflower and add peas/crisp corn to it once its done & slide it in the oven......pretty good 'faux' sheppards pie.

If you just think about the logistics of fat melting points and solubility's.... Any animal fat is going to have a high melting point, for example.. 60 degrees ---- which means its a solid @ room temperature. Raising the heat is gonna cause it to melt and become a liquid.. So if you're boiling it -- it's gonna dissociate from the 'meat' part and float around in the water
Once it's been boiling for a while....throw it under hot water(to keep the fat from solidifying) in a strainer and it rinses away.
Evidently - my word isn't good enough. Maybe this will put you more at ease.
