Sugar
Hey guys.
I have some questions about sugar. Do you guys try and stay away from it when bulking as well.
Im doing a keto know.
This winter im going to bulk, id like to keep my diet structure and add in more carbs. Im going to start 500 cals over maint.
So, yes or no to sugar. I gain weight rapidly and i want to gain quality muscle.

if you want to gain quality muscle,
I'd definitely avoid simple sugars.

im doing a keto now.
Im looking to do a bulk cycle this winter and i was looking for views on sugar intake.
As in fruits or juices.
adding snapple to protein drinks etc....

yea, i'd stay away from fructose for the most part... keep it complex-carbs...

jamy im interested, do u keep fruits out of your diet? and if so why?, i enjoy eating fruits as like a desert. i thought fruits are ok as its just nat sugar

i love orange juice and things of this nature. I want to bulk however i need to do it clean.
So basically it would be benificial to just say goodbuy to sugar.

Depends how hardcore you are.
fructose is a metabolic poison.it is fructose that is the main ingredient behind the problem of insulin resistance,bang.......Need I rap more?

what about things like grapes? they are my main fruit, i can drop apples pears with no prob, are grapes a no go?

blueberries and bananas for me. Just seems right to be eating some fruits with any "healthy diet" to me.

I could never do without fruit. My mainstays are blueberries, bananas, and apples. If the amount of sugar in them is going to make me fatter so be it; most fruits have a lot of nutritional benefits, vitamins, strong antioxidant properties... too good to leave out IMO

As far as adding in simple sugars while bulking I'll say it depends on your body type and your goals. If you are an ectomorph classic hard gainer like me with very low carb sensitivity - the occasional simple sugars while bulking will not hurt you

there are alotta fruits out there you can eat.. you just have to look at the GI vs. GL levels... i just try to keep things complex.. works for me...
fructose is a very simple carb... find a philosophy and follow it.. that's what dieting is about.. what works for me..

2 scoops of whey 1cup oats, 1 banana and 1/4 cup of blue berries with some ice in the blender pwo with chicken&rice an hour later is what works for me...

^^^ not bad.. blueberries have a low GL... as do bananas..
