Overcoming an eating disorder
Hey
I am trying to lose weight but I am having a seriously tough time with it...
My biggest culprit is the fact that I sleep walk and eat in the middle of the night... and I eat like crazy - and its typically junk food
During the day I take dexedrine for attention deficit problems to help me focus on my school work
but as some may know, dexedrine is also an apetite surpressant - so during the day I dont get hungry..
and if I forget to eat regularly during the day, I get ultra hungry at around 2-3am and I gorge on food
I talked to my doctor about this and am getting blood tests to see what possible options I have medically to help get this under control via medication
but in the mean time - what can I do to help prevent this from happening?
I've tried hoodia, I've tried potatoe extract (AKA slendesta at the Vitamin shoppe) and I've tried Chromium Picholionate...
Are there any vitamines that might help keep my appetite balanced?
It's really starting to make me depressed...

My first question is what does your diet look like throughout the day?

If you really have that bad of a problem. Wear this on your leg at night and set up the wire around your bedroom. If you leave your bedroom I promise you will not be sleep walking. Im really serious (it would be fun to watch though) it won't kill you but it will make you eat healthy. You can get one on ebay for less than $100 sometimes. Problem solved!!

K this is one of those times when you gotta be blunt.
You're full of sh*t. You ain't sleep walking nowhere buying junk food. You're fully aware of what you're doing.
Get your shit together, some willpower and start eating right. Put food in your fridge. Cottage cheese in the middle of the night is a great source of slow releasing protein.
And if you're gonna go with the suggestion above, please have a camera on cause I really gotta see this!

Thats quite eloquently put, and very informative. I like the use of grammar.
The definition of an eating disorder is a psychologically and psychiatrically based pathology that cripples someone's will power to eat or not eat food.
You're statement suggests you're not aware of that.
I suppose this is not the forum I should look for help from in regards to this problem.

If you sleeping how do you know you are eating junk food? Do you wake up with dingdong wrappers stuck to your face?

I understand you might have a 'eating disorder' but you're trying to tell us you are sleep walking to the nearest convenience store to buy junk food at 2 in the morning. Really? Please sleep walk to your fridge and eat some cottage cheese instead.
