    Egg Whites? Fry or Boil

Just a quick question, does it matter if i fry my egg whites, using Pam, and not butter. Or is it better to boil them and eat them that way. I prefer fried but dont mind boiled. thanks

using olive oil would be a healthier solution. I just drink mine most of the time, i spend enough time cooking other things

there are no EFA's in the whites so it wouldnt make a difference,

in fact frying them will introduce healthy fats

buy just whites in a carton and drink it straight. No need to cook.

I normally boil, but lately I have scrambled egg whites here and there. Anyone know the pros/cons of scrambling?

You can microwave them, it's about the easiest way to cook eggs, little mess too, and you don't lose any of the eggs.

Just pam a bowl, drop some egg whites or whole eggs in it, stir, microwave for about 1 to 2 mins and viola.

Taste isn't as good as pan fried, but it's quick and easy.

    Honestly doesn't matter.

I prefer pan-fried eggs (using Pam) to boiled egg-whites any day.

Personally I can't tell you the last time I've eaten a boiled eggwhite... I'd drink 'em before I did that.

I'm going to try this tomorrow, I've been making egg white "pancakes" for breakfast but little bit of cleanup how I do it. Taking your advice on this one and see how it works!

I mix canned chicken and eggs together then microwave them, I put them on a plate(paper of course) then I use the same dish to cook my oatmeal in. I like to have salsa with my eggs.

The chicken meat makes them pop in the microwave, so I cover them with a paper towel.

    That's commonly parroted advice.

I discuss and rebut it here:

    Whole Egg VS. Egg White
