I use frozen tilapia.
Thaw thoroughly. Heat up your broiler. Throw the fillets on a baking sheet, drizzle with EVOO, season w/ salt and pepper. Chop up fresh garlic and 'rub' gently into fillets. Squeeze a lime (or lemon, whatever you like) all over the fillets, then slice up another lime/lemon and lay a slice on each fillet.
Broil until done, about 7-10 mins depending on thickness.

I tend to stick everything frozen in the oven. Wrap the lot in tin foil.
With fish I put a few whole garlic cloves in, lemon/lime, EVOO and some cherry tomotoes and/or other vegetables. Salt/pepper.
You can add some dried or fresh spices too.
Serve with a drizil of soya sauce and fresh lemon.
Done.

I use marinade.

I always marinate my meats... white fish is no different.
Fish lends heavily to flavours... so I let it soak in a home-made marinade overnight.
I rub italian herbs and garlic powder into the flesh, and leave it to soak overnight in balsamic vinegar and red wine (or rum).
Then I remove it from the liquid, sprinkle salt and pepper on... dust it with cornmeal, and oven roast it.
Simple.

I cook it from frozen; drop it on a slightly oiled pan (I prefer olive oil), toss a lid on the pan, once it is half cooked cover it in cayenne spice and flip it. Cook it until it is nice and crispy... enjoy!

^^Yep... or, if I buy fresh meat in bulk, I mix a batch of the marinade, rub it into the flesh, package the fillets/steaks off into batches of 4-6 (i.e. how many i'd typically eat in a day), and quickfreeze 'em. That way, if I ever need to, I can just take down a bag full of tender, seasoned meat, defrost it for a couple hours, and throw it straight on the grill.
No fuss whatsoever.
Mate... I hardly ever use protein powder in my diet... and I hardly ever buy fast food (maybe once per month, or once every 2-3 months).
I hear people on message boards bitching about how eating clean is boring... but I can't fathom how, unless no one's taking the minuscule 5-10 minutes to prep their meats beforehand.
I would never eat a bland piece of rubbery, pasty meat
Marinading FTW!

x2 brutha,,, I dont understand peoples logic that you have to eat unprepared protiens in their natural state..B.S. if you take a tablespoon of EVOO with a meal then cook with it instead same difference. There are no calories in spices that could impact your daily macros negatively..I still make delicious resuraunt quality meals without using butters and creams etc...just takes a little planning..
