Shit, when I do HIIT on the treadmill my heart rate goes up to 210+ for 2 mins then only goes down to 170 for 1 min and then back up for 25 mins straight.
Why is this so hard to believe. I would love to hear your reasoning. When I lift it easily goes up to 150-160 on a set of squats.

How do you feel at 210bpm? I had a client once who had a condition where her heart rate would race above 200 without too much exertion, at 220 she would over heat and feel faint. Her steady state heart rate was approx 170bpm that would be the equivalent of approx 130bpm for me.
Some people suffer exercise induced tachycardia. If you Di, you may wanna check with your Dic to make sure there is nothing untoward!NO SOURCES GIVEN

I feel fine. Winded, but fine. I have felt dizzy a couple of times @ 190 and above, but rare.
My resting heart rate, as of right now is 68.

220 - age = max hr? Did this totally just go out the window?

I think I'll stick with keeping my HR a good bit below 200, that sounds crazy high, to the point where it may be a problem. MHR= 220 - age, correct? I think anything above that may not be healthy. The heart is a muscle, like any muscle it can be overworked.
I have actually been noticing some pretty good results with doing what I am doing now, I think 50min of cardio where I keep my HR between 145-150ish range is good.
Thoughts on this?

JJ in theory your max HR is 188, if you are actually 32.
If you get your HR to 210 I really think you should get looked at because I have never ever heard of that

Im 34. How is it bad? So tell me, when and if you do HIIT cardio ie. sprint at say 12mph for 2 mins then walk for 1 min. where would your heart rate be?
I do not see how getting your heart rate up is a bad thing?

Look up ventricular tachycardia and supra ventricular tachycardia. The fact that you sometimes feel dizzy should tell you that something may be amiss. Then again, it may not. Your health, your call.NO SOURCES GIVEN

Stared a thread in the workout section.
I value your opinion, but I have felt dizzy once or twice. Been working out for years.

When I do a full on sprint for 60 seconds, my HR does not ever get above 185? Maybe not even above 180.
