Diet Advice - Vegetarian
Hey guys,
I have been working out since quite a while, around 3+ years but have not been very regular though. When I initially started I was very skinny but gradually I gained some much needed weight. I started with 115 pounds and then made it to 165 pounds in a span of 1-2 years. Now I'm 156 pounds (height 5.8 ft) after changing my diet a bit, removing a lot of junk calories and unnecessary fats.
My workout schedule is:
Mon - Chest
Tues - Back / Biceps
Wed - Legs / Abs
Thurs - Shoulders
Fri - Legs / Triceps
Sat - Sun - Rest
My routine diet is :
Meal 1:
1 Banana
500ml Low Fat Milk with 1/2 scoop protein , 1 tsp peanut butter
Handful of almonds/cashews/walnuts/apricot/chia seeds/flax seeds
Meal 2:
1 cup curd
7 white boiled eggs
Meal 3:
Some lentils and vegetables
Wholewheat indian chappatis
Meal 4: (Pre workout)
Brown bread cottage cheese vegetable sandwitch
2 cups curd
1 glass papaya shake
Meal 5: (Post workout)
1 glass fresh orange juice
Some raw pineapple
500 ml low fat milk + 1 scoop whey + 1 tsp peanut butter
Meal 6:
1 cup curd
8 boiled white eggs
PS - I'm a vegetarian and don't eat any kind of meat.
Attaching my pics, please have a look and give some pointers.
Thanks.

Your diet looks not too bad except for the amount of boiled eggs. That's a lot of cholesterol and saturated fat. You could do rice and beans.

I'm confused as to why you don't eat meat but you do eat eggs and dairy?...do you not like meat or is an ethical thing?...its good that you do because they are you only chance at getting enough complete proteins in your body...most vegetable protiens are not...there was a guy Bill Pearl I think his name was that was a very large vegetarian bber you may want to check him out and see if you can borrow anything from his diet...good luck...

This is extremely common in this area and you will see even more confusing and, according to western standards, bizarre interpretations.
To OP: To mix it up a bit use Tofu, Paneer, and lot's of oil to get enough calories. Brown rice, bulgur, and other things will be very useful here also.
