no sugar before workouts?
I posted a thread a few weeks ago and i remeber someone saying that you should not have sugar before your workout? is this true, i like to take my creatine before my wokrout with grape juice , should i change this, and also i usually drink a gatorade in my pre workout meal, did i get everything mixed up or should sugar not be taken before workouts?

Well I personally eat a good meal about 60-90 minutes before and just drink a protein shake right before, but yes I have heard also to limit your sugar and carb intake right before you lift. I'd ditch the gatorade but keep the grape juice with the creatine.

Sugar prior to a workout is no good unless its in a cocktail to chase down winny. For a cutting diet only sugar intake should be post workout. Try to avoid any insulin spikes, especially before training.

there is an article in the current flex mag that talks about sugar\whey shakes before, during and after a workout
personally i go for brown rice and chicken before a workout and then whey\maltodextrin\dextrose after a workout (cut or bulk)
