    coming off TRT Question???

okay, as some of you know i am on my way to TRT, just did another blood test for the clinic in Florida (one of the recommended clinics) and within a week or so they'll get back to me with a plan. my questions is, if i do it for 6 months then decide to come off, can i do a PCT to get back to here i was with my test levels? or six months is a killer for my natural test production? i am not sure what dose they will subscribe, but they want to boost my total test to 800, i am assuming 200mg per week.

There's quite a few people on here who have written about successfully coming off of TRT, even after years of being on it. I can't speak as to what your levels will be once you PCT and transition back to having your body produce its own, but it's definitely doable. I've also seen some people in the steroid forum who do multi-year high level cycles with no breaks who have successfully PCT'd back to natural.

Also, as a reference, I was in the 700-800 range at 125-150mg/week. Hit 1200+ at 225/week. YMMV.

I saw this post and had to chime in with you bro! YMMV is some of the best advice out there! Like Frawnz I tried Androgel and it killed me. I started Test-Cyp at 250mg weekly, 10 weeks later I was at 1500+. It was a little too high, I think 200mg for me would've put me at 1100-1200 which is where I would like to be.

@Bass- On a side note, being over a little high was like being 17 again. Sex always on my mind, appetite was wild, motivation and confidence returned, depression and fatigue....cya, gym work outs felt rewarding and I didn't burn out, for the amount of food I ate, the scale only showed a 4lb gain in 8 weeks.....but shirts got tight and pant sizes went down. I stopped because I got spooked a little by my lipid profile not looking so hot along with cholesterol going up a bit. Next time around I'm going to eat more fish, increase my veggies and fibers, add a meal replacement shake, and not knock out 2 Chicken Parm Subs for lunch everyday even though they were made at home.

Bass, thanks for sharing the BW labs with us. The only problem with doing the PCT in 6 months is that there doesn't look like a whole lot of natty to look forward to getting back. It would be debatable to just how much you could get back, so essentially you might be looking at a total serum score in the mid 200's or something if you try doing this. 6 months isn't necessary a "killer" (isn't a great thing either), but 299 is kind of a killer already in the scheme of things-JMHO. If your natty was 500, I might be looking at that differently. Although I know there are probably several variables playing out for you, the best advise I can give on this one is to just avoid coming off at all and embrace the fountain of youth benefits that TRT can provide you.

Alloy, my cholesterol has actually come down from way high to 188 over the last 6 months. I think it is the diet and not the hormones.

True, diet plays 75% of the role on what your fats are looking like. On the flip side, a little too much test did it for me also. It wasn't crazy, but it was enough for me to increase my EFA intake via Fish Oil Caps which my PCP was swears up and down by not to mention he has all of his high cholesterol / lipid ppl on.

Thanks, the only reason i would consider coming off is for financial reasons! i just got a letter from my insurance and based on the blood work above they said i don't need to see an endo and therefor denied my request. i knew that already this is why i went ahead with the clinic anyway. what i may have to do is do it on my own, but through the clinic hopefully i will learn enough to know what to do. another thing, i called my insurance agent and he said going to the clinic does not violate the insurance policy, so I'll be covered even if my sickness was caused buy the TRT, so 6 months from now if i decide to not continue with the clinic and my test goes to below 200 maybe then the insurance will consider it!!!

    For what it is worth...

I was on TRT maybe a little less than 6 months... started with test at about 375 and got up to 800 on 200 test cyp weekly. I went off in August and my last labs showed my test was down to 225.

I can't tell a bit of difference between now at 255 and when I was 800. Which is strange. In all fairness though because of injuries to a shoulder I have not been able to really push it in the gym, so it may be that I would see a major difference in the gym.

I have to say that when I was doing the test and added some anavar for about 6 weeks, I saw great results in how musclar I got.

Really want to get back on TRT (after some other health issues are dealt with), but wonder if I should if it isn't really doing anything for me. Once the other health issues and this injury are dealt with I may go back on and really pay attention to my energy levels and fitness levels etc... to get a really good gauge on what the TRT is doing for me.

Hi bass.....this weekend I went to buy a new bike lock which had letters for the combination which were pre-determined. I went thru all the choices since I could see the combo/ letters and I kept trying to find one that actually meant something to me. SO.. when I came across the combo "bass" I thought of you! I am not kidding and thought...THAT's the ONE! It is meant to be since I know a guy named "bass." so now you know my bike combo.....
