    Log update. BW came back with T at 695 (270-1730), Free T 20 (7.5-23.0), and E2 24 (0-56). For last 4 weeks I've been doing 50mg T cyp 2x week, .25mg Arimidex 4x week (instead of 2x due to high E2 number 4 weeks ago), and HcG 250iu 2x week.

My numbers continue to dumbfound me. 4 weeks ago I was T of 783, Free T of 22.2, and E2 was 48.7. Tho I didn't have any gyno I was having some moderate ED so doubled my AI dose to try and get E2 back into the 20s. The result is my E2 dropped from 48.7 to 24 with some improvement w/ the ED. However, how the hell do the T numbers decline too? (I've been on the same dose of T Cyp) I figured with less conversion to E2 my T numbers should have come up but instead have fallen. Does anyone have an explanation?

Also, I'm planning on upping my Hcg of 250iu from 2x to 3x week in the hope it'll help some with the ED, disposition, and push the T numbers back up. (I def felt my best when I was about 900 T & 23 Free T)

    Thanks

I think it might be normal to fluctuate 100 on the same dose of test but I understand your logic about the AI.

It would be nice if you could get to 900 and 3 doses/wk of HCG with no AI, but I don't know if you can. I've read some guys feel worse when they take an AI.

I'd add in the third weekly dose of HCG and consider moving to 52 or 54mg/2wk.

Some try up to 180mg of zinc balanced with copper for keeping the E2 down.

I’ve been an ‘adventure/endurance athlete’ my entire life. All of my activities/sports are powered by me so power-to-weight ratio is important. The last couple years my training has consisted of mountain biking (3 to 6 hrs week), trail running, hiking with a 40 lb. pack on (2 to 4 hrs week), weight training (mainly to keep muscle groups balanced/toned. 2 hrs week), and rock climbing (training in a climbing gym. 4 hrs. week). I know how to train and can still make my bike go and climb at a level higher than a casual weekend warrior.

I was a ski racer in my late teens. Transitioned to bicycle racing and triathlons. Surfed a bunch. MMA for a couple years. Rock, ice, and mountain climbed all over the place last 10 years.

I’m an MBA and have been an entrepreneur forever. I’m very risk tolerant in everything I do.

I’m mostly vegetarian and have eaten very clean/smart my entire life. I eat adequate protein. Elevated cholesterol is hereditary. Vit D was a bit low so have begun a supplement.

No smoking, virtually no alcohol or caffeine.

My fitness is excellent and other than totally fading in the evenings my energy has seemed OK. Libido reasonable (I think) for my age. My sleep is not great but I do manage to get 7 to 8 hrs. a night.

Recently I went to a Naturopathic doctor to check for mild food intolerances (I have virtually none). Blood panels came back Low T. Dr. prescribed 200 mg T Cyp every 7 to 10 days. I had my first injection 7 days ago and the 2nd yesterday (6 days apart because of scheduling). I’m possibly projecting but it seems I’m sleeping a bit better and have a slightly better mood.

I’m completely new to TRT/HRT and am hopeful I can get some feedback. (I’ve been reading here for a couple weeks) Dosages, other dr*gs to consider, blood panels, concerns, books, articles, etc? I understand I’m on this track for the rest of my life and I’m cool with that. I just want to get up to speed fast as possible.

    Thanks and Peace
holy shit...1730 is the high range for testosterone ? doctors are nuts

The other thing I should have added here that might explain my current tendency to lower T and higher E2 is that my wife is almost 8 months pregnant with our first. Apparently there are a few studies that show new fathers to be and new fathers tend to have lower T (and I suspect higher E2). Has anyone else heard or paid attention to this phenomena?

I have heard that but I don't think it applies 100% to you now since you are taking exogenous test, but Congrats at any rate!!!

Yes, I've read about that occurring in men (T & E ratio changing with spousal pregnancy) which is really interesting. Maybe it's our bodies way of calming males down somewhat to help prepare for the upcoming event? Who knows.

Alpinist you seem to be doing well with your protocol and I wouldn't worry about minor fluctuations in your T that much. It's relatively normal. Dial your E in slowly and don't rush it. I tested mine 3 or 4 months in a row when I was starting out....

YES. And it's real because it happened to me. I had no idea what was happening until my Doc told me about it. My wife had our daughter and it was me that stayed home and took care of her and my T levels plummeted like Enron stock. It wasn't until my Doc explained to me about this phenomena did I first learn about TRT in the first place. I wouldn't trade that time staying at home and raising my daughter, but yes it crashed my T levels to 175.

Log update. I've been feeling really great. Recovery is amazing and training is super fun. Wood has been OK but not outstanding. Thinking of adding in a really low dose of Cialis to the cocktail. My cholesterol is back to my pre TRT levels. It's hereditary as I'm mostly vegetarian and eat really lean. With T at 984 (270 to 1730), Free T at 26.5 (7.2 to 23), and E2 at 25.2 I'm not sure what to adjust. I'd love to get off the Arimidex .25mg 2x week but last time I tried E2 went really high. Maybe throttle back the T dose to 45mg 2x week and drop the AI to .25mg 1x a week? The cholesterol I've no clue. I'm most appreciative to any tips or suggestions.

    Thanks!
