"I guess my question is does a man who is primary NEED HcG at all?"

While not as strongly indicated for Secondary men HCG for Primary is important as it is considered by some as a sex hormone and it has very positive neuro effects...makes you feel good!

I feel you this one brother. I just started a cycle and didn't start hcg the first week and regret it. Now I'm loading it doing 250iu ed for a week to get my LH up and hopefully stop any more atrophy.

I will always start HCG the first day I pin from now on.

    Keep us posted.

Point of clarification: HCG is an LH analog; it doesn't "get LH up" it behaves just like LH in the pathway and activates the receptors on the leydig cells.

I should have written to stimulate LH surge instead of "get LH up". My apologies
    Thank you for the correction

To help clarify though, HCG does not actually stimulate LH. LH is released by the pituitary and normally would induce T production in the testes. But with HCG, there is no pituitary release involved, and rather the HCG acts in place of LH to stimulate the testes. That's also why people sometimes talk about HCG being suppressive -- because it bypasses the pituitary to stimulate testosterone .
