3 Cypionate injections so far...and I feel bloated.

    Started TRT last week.
    3 injections so far:

    1--Tues-150mg
    2-- Friday--150 mg
    3-7 days later 150 mg
Next injection is due on Friday.

No others meds...no HCG no anastrozol.
Getting blood work done before next injection. MD says those results will determine if I need HCG or/ anas.

    I feel bloated as hell.
My belly for some reason seems BIGGER. I dunno if it's water retention or what.
    Suggestions?
Is the HCZ and/or anas going to help this in the future?
    If so how long?

I retained water in the beginning too. It passed after a while and the belly fat thined shortly affer that. Ride it out. You'll be fine.

looks like 300mg a week to me! WTF is your doc thinking? Is he trying to put you on a cycle? I'm on a protocol of 70mg 2x week which seems to be kinda 10mg higher than a lot of guys.

Perhaps I worded my original post incorrectly.
The protocol I'm on is 150mg ONCE a week.
Due to a scheduling problem, my first dose was on a Tues-150mg
Second dose was three days later on Friday of another 150mg.
My third dose was seven days later of another 150 mg.
    Not 300mg weekly...150 mg weekly.

My original and only blood work so far showed this:
    Testosterone , Serum---264 ng/dl
    Estradoil---21.0 pg/ml
    Prostate -Specific Ag--0.5
    Hemoglobin---14.6 g/dl

    Was the 'moron' part necessary?

Diminished LH and/or FSH levels are an indication that shut down is occurring and hcg is needed.

    So he's not a moron.

Lol powerlifter looks silly now. Hey java, so if your FH and LH show any levels instead of 0 is it safe to assume that your secondary and not primary for hcg

Power lifter maybe you should read the stickies so you can have a more thorough understanding of the meds your on, just a thought? I really don't see a need to criticize the man, he was simply asking for some input.

Your always going to have diminished lh and FSH even on hcg, so powerlifter is correct and I think he was referring to the op's doc. as the moron. If there is a test to determine hcg after starting trt let me know. But that should have been determined during his initial bloodwork.

I know very little but I would recommend spliting your dose to 75mg 2x per week...every 3.5 days. I.E. Sunday morning and Wednesday night. Much more stable blood levels that way. I personally recommend HCG to keep the boys happy, I also noticed I feel better on HCG as well. With that high of a dose keep a close eye on your Estrodial as well.

To the OP, have you had any measurable weight gain on a scale? Has diet changed?

If your 3 weeks in doing 150mg a week. The bloated water retention is most likely due to elevated estrogen. Get some labs done. And yes you can absoulty do blood work to determine if you need HCG or not and should only be given to men who qualify. HCG only works for men with secondary Hypo characteristics...Meaning testicles work, just not enough LH signal to raise serum T level appropriatly. What does HCG do??? It mimics LH to signal testicles to make endogenous T and continue production of spermogenesis. So if your Primary Hypo meaning you have plently of LH signal and still have low T then you have a malfunction in the testicles and HCG will do nothing for you. "You cant squeeze blood out of a turnip"

FSH/LH and T level will determine if you are a good candidate for HCG.

So your saying he is not shutdown and will still be producing a lh and FSH signal even though on trt?

not an expert, but I believe the recommendation is based on mimicking the body's natural rhythm if you were not effected by hypogonadism. Taking ti first thing in the morning I doubt would be harmful or counter-productive in any way, but taking before night your testicles are stimulated and start producing T overnight so your levels would be higher in the morning as would be the case naturally. I could be wrong, but that's my theory and understanding of why the recommendation is there.

Personally, I take my hcg when its convenient which is usually in the am. I'm definitely not an expert on such things but haven't seen anything to convince me that the time of day is an issue. I don't have a medical reason for taking it though. I would say of in doubt consult your Dr. but unfortunately many doctors aren't very knowledgeable on it either.

I trust the HRT Specialists on this board more than anyone I know personally, and that's who I would ask of I have questions about any hormones.

i disagree..lh and fsh will be shutdown when trt is administered...no blood test is necessary. Hcg also isnt an fsh analog..that is more hmg
