Bass's latest BW during T3 cycle as of 1/7/2014
TSH has decreased dramatically, usually it averages at about 2.500 uIU/ml, now its 0.832
when I did the BW I was taking 50mcg T3 ed, shouldn't my T3 Uptake be higher? no change from last BW!
my platelets are always on the low side, but this is the first time its below normal. can T3 cause this, and should I be worried about it?
cholesterol looks awesome compared to previous BW
PSA no change, good!
Kidneys keep getting better despite the heavy training and high protein intake.
at 160 mgs test ew along with 0.5 mg AI my E2 is still low, my doc suggested the test increase to see if it helps with shoulder pain. didn't work so i'll ask her to go back to my previous dose of 120mgs ew. no need to have my test that high, also will eliminate the need for AI.

Sorry. I can't answer your questions, but are you feeling hyperthyroid symptoms? Years ago, my tsh dropped down to almost that level. I felt horrible. Lost 30#, jittery, rapid heartbeat, etc...
How do you feel?

Do you take aspirin on a regular basis? I'm not sure about other COX inhibitors as far as how they affect platelet count but I know aspirin specifically does. What is your doctors opinion on the platelets?

how does it feel on T3 versus before? (what was your tsh before?) my TSH is 6.24, so my doctor has ordered full thyroid bloodwork, also, why is your t4 and t3 low but your tsh is very low as well?
also i had a test level of 1259, could this have contributed to the high tsh? And why am i so darn sensitive to test, 100 mg/week and 1259!? full blood work coming, see my thread next week...

I concur with JD. They do a number on your liver too.
i was using opiates and alcohol heavily after a surgery which contributed to a T crash.
Getting off pain killers is tough but there are alternatives.

Bass, don't be afraid of taking the surgery plunge. I've had two R/C repairs on my left shoulder and it's solid as can be. Plus, you're fit and with proper PT after surgery you'll be back with no problem. It's usually the lazy fauks that have post surgery issues.
A second alternative would be to try a cortisone shot, but ask your Doc to add Triamcinolone to the mixture and to use ultra sound to pin-point placement of the needle directly into the injury site. I was having some trouble with my right shoulder recently and this combination cleared it right up! Try it...

Bass, I have had some shoulder problems along with knee surgeries in the past. Cortisone shots do wonders. I have a slap tear in my shoulder and when I've had pain, I get one and I'm 100% within a couple of weeks. I have a new issue on my right shoulder/pec area but haven't had the need for a shot. Want to do an MRI but my out of pocket is a bit high now, (thanks Mr. president) but I've been able to train without any setbacks.

yes. the stuff is powerful.
I am only doing 30mcg T3 and 160 mgs test. my weight is almost the same but leaning out fairly quick. my are was 17" before T3 and it still 17", that's an indication I am not loosing muscle. I hope!
yea I'll ask my doc for the combo API noted, I haven't had a Cortisone shot in over 10 year, its time. thanks for the tip.

I don't like adding t3 without also adding t4 it usually tanks my t4 if I don't.

Bass, how is your results?
-
01-17-2014, 01:26 AM #21
Its awesome so far. still weigh the same but much leaner. skin getting think and separation is looking good. interesting my usual body aches are less, I know my thyroid is not optimal and that's why I feeling so much better. also feel very sleepy in the evening, probably due to lower tsh and t4. most likely I'll be on thyroid meds. will bring it up to my doc next visit.

I am hoping yes! based on Austinite's article its no problem to even stop cold turkey, but i'll taper down just in case.
thanks, actually I am more interested in NDT,
Natural Thyroid 101 | Stop The Thyroid Madness
Vettester made the recommendation and I am looking into it, so far I am very interested.

Hey Bass, you still taking the T3, any good fat loss. I tried it for about 2 weeks, made me weaker and tired, lost about 5 lbs though but I cant take the tired feeling.

Bass, what's your current action plan for fat loss? T3 was suggested in one of my posts (over GHRP/GHRH combo), but it sounds like the run was pretty rough for you. I would like to amp up burning belly fat for a good 8-12 weeks to get ready for Spring/Summer. Diet is in check, but melting away slowly...
Thanks!

This maybe kinda off topic but I started taking Qsymia for weight loss and am down 20 pounds so far this year and my lifts are up, its nice because I don't have to eat at all and that was never a issues. I will say my TSH T3/T4 have always been good so it maybe a little different then what bass is doing but just wanted to throw it out.
w/o insurance it's $75 a month with the discount they are offering.

This isn't what I wanted to hear. Just ordered my t3 from board sponsor. I will likely need more to finish, but didn't want to bulk buy stuff that will sit.
I've taken synthroid before, and it made me sick, I mean missing work sick a ton. Dose was way too low though, my tsh went up. So I am a little worried with t3 that I will underdose and screw myself up.
Anyone know what a t3 dose would be like to match standard thyroid replacement in normal individuals? I usually have to take twice as much of things or more for similar effects. My plan was to work up to 50 mcg and assess the situation, run 75 mcg for a short few weeks, drop to 25 for a few more, then discontinue, so a very short cycle. But if 75 ends up being replacement for me, I don't want to underdose either. Kind of a factor I don't want to deal with right now, but taking the risk anyways.

TSH / T3 is a bitch of a drug, I have friends that need this stuff and it takes MONTHS to get it dialed in, most have to take T3 2x a day and cant have it with other things then if you go too high you get sides and all kinda other shit.
If you want to cut fat why not do a weight loss drug. If your thyroid is off why not get an endo that can get you a script that is CONSISTENT because T3 is so strong if it's underground it maybe different every time. I know most take synthroid then T3 2x a day.

I do have hashimoto's, but can manage it with diet changes and have decent thyroid levels, this is just temporary, very short duration boost or blast if you wish.

well not all react the same way, I just happen to be extra sensitive to drugs in general. for example I been getting severe hives everyday since I got the cortisone shot, rare side but I got it! I just did a full on thyroid panel among other things, this is about 4 weeks I stopped T3, so we'll see how T effected me and if it completely screwed up my thyroid, it was pretty sluggish to begin with.
