Average time to get blood thickness levels checked when on TRT

I started this TRT early October. On that first visit they did a full blood panel. A month later when I went back they said my blood thickness level was in the mid 40s. Which seems to be right on the high end limit. Its been about two months now and they haven't checked it again. Should I be worried, or just wait a few more months then have them check it? Would it hurt to just go donate blood anyways?

Mid fortys is not the high end limit, when your hematocrit gets in the fifties then you can say your getting towards the high end, most agree 55% is absolute high end, I think @ 52% it's time to take action, of course if you give blood every couple months you may not ever reach the high end. 45 is extremely normal.

^ well said. I started in the mid 40's pre trt and I was at 51% when I donated blood last month. I would say just donate as they will check your level there anyway. then you get -1% from wherever you are currently at for the pint.

The main reason I'm worried is because I have a history of high bp. I finally got it under control when I started supping with high dosages of magnesium. But don't want to let it get out of control again

Do a little research on low dose daily cialis which has a ton of benefits beyond the obvious, one being a reduction in BP.

Also look into supplementing with arginine for your BP:

Alright I'll check it out. Prescription needed I. Assuming and I'm 27 so most likely not going to get it haha. I've also realized that it really depends on how the doctor takes the bp some of them just slap it on over my shirt while Im holding my arm up and it's usuAlly high. But when they do right on my skin and I'm resting my arm its in normal ranges.

Have any of you guys actually experienced symptoms of a high hematocrit level? What did you notice?

After being on self prescribed TRT for going on two years now, I run a kinda self assembled precaution protocol.

I take one 81mg baby aspirin per day. Along with this I run the cholesterol lowering protocol on here. Plus I do self blood letting every 4-6 weeks(a pint at a time).

Numbers are perfect as of now. About 3 months ago everything was a bit elevated.

Make sure they're using the correct cuff size for your arm....it sounds like there may be a lack of attention to detail on the part of the person checking your BP. An improperly sized cuff can skew the readings to some degree.

I was at 60 1.5 weeks ago when i gave blood. I never notice anything bad and feel no different when I give blood. I'm going to give blood again in 2.5 weeks. The the 4-5 weeks later try double reds. I alternate between red cross andf community blood and only certain red crosses do double reds

If you're having issues with blood thickness you'll want to get this checked a little more often. For example, blood work shows elevated hematocrit, donate and/or make adjustments to TRT protocol and check again in 8wks or so and continue to do so until it's under control and stable. If stable and under control, having a CBC panel run 2-3 times per year should be just fine.
