    eb self medicating TRT

As of Saturday gone i am self medicating TRT with testosterone undeconate (similar to NEBIDO) i have managed to get my test levels up 5 points with the adition to thyroid medication, 10000 iu of vit d and 6 gram of fish oil per day. My training as always is solid and my diet is great!......i have felt like shit for years now and have had confirmed low t for 2 years. Ive never been able to get the physique and quality of life i want, even with solid training and diet. Anyway ive had enough and im going it alone, end of the day i cant feel more low than i have been for years now so fuk it!

    My plan.

First shot of test undec was on the 14-02-15......i did it in two shots, one in each quad.......had really bad PIP for 3 days but going away now. I have HCG but my Bacteristic water has not arrived yet......ill start this at 250iu 2 x per week once i get it. I have arimedex and aromasin on hand for later down the line. My next shot will be 6 weeks from the date above ( the loading shot). I will then get another round of bloods 2 weeks after that shot and another round of bloods 12 weeks from my loading shot (this will be 2 days before my next shot)

Below is my PRE TRT blood work results. I will keep a log of my bloods and how i get on with self medication for anyone in a similar situation.

    Testosterone -13.3 nmo/l (8.6-29)
    SHBG-41 nmo/l (14.5-48.4)

    FSH-6.2 u/l (1.5-12.4)
    LH-6.3 u/l (1.7-8.6)
    Oestradiol-87 pmo/l (28-156)
    Prolactin-204 mu/l (86-324)

Don't split your dose mate. It needs to be the full 4ml in one spot to help it to work properly.

You'll probably not need an AI either, I never have.

    NHS fvcked you over then?

Had my second (loading) injection on Thursday, all 4 ml into my right quad. Went smooth as!

This is 6 weeks after first injection.

I have felt pretty good, from week 2 until the end of this week, I started to feel tired again the past 5 days.

The main thing i have felt so far is not being tired all the time and the ability to train more, i have been training 6 days a week and upping it to 7 days for the next 6 weeks.

I have not started HCG yet as i am still waiting for my sterile vials to come.

I have blood work booked in for 2 weeks time, i will post up my results then

    cheers

What brand are you using mate?

I remember feeling the need for that second shot a few days before I did. Are you getting BW in 2 weeks then 10 weeks?

    Blood test results from 10-04-15.

These were taken 2 weeks after my loading shot.

    Testosterone -43.7 nmo/l (8.6-29)
    SHBG-28 nmo/l (14.5-48.4)

    FSH-0.1 u/l (1.5-12.4)
    LH-0.4 u/l (1.7-8.6)
    Oestradiol-256 pmo/l (28-156)
    Prolactin-450 mu/l (86-324)

Im not feeling as good as i was. feel achy and tired and my gyno has flared up. This must be related to high estrogen and high prolactin.

Any advice appreciated. should i start taking an AI straight away? or wait until my next bloods (trough)

how would i go about lowering prolactin? is it directly related to high estrogen levels?

After my first few shots, one week after each shot, I ran a'dex at 0.25mg E3d for 2 weeks. After 4 total shots I never felt the need. But your E2 is high so I'd recommend you try it like I did.

Is your bloodwork free at your needle exchange mate?

Started Nolvadex at 10mg per day for the next 2 weeks and arimedex at 0.5mg every other day until my next bloods. I will be getting them at week 10 and taking my next shot the day after.

Don't forget your test levels will drop over the next 7 or 8 weeks and your E2 with it. Theoretically you won't need an AI so there is no such thing as correct protocol per se. You'll need to go how you feel but I understand your concerns re:gyno.

From today i am changing HCG dose, i will be dosing it at 100iu every day. I am not feeling any benefit from 2x 200iu weekly.
Hopefully this new protocol will change that.

Had my blood taken this morning, this is 8 weeks after last blood work, this will be my trough level (should get results in the next 2 weeks)

Had my 3rd shot just now, this is 10 weeks since last shot. Did not go smooth at all! the oil in this shot was thicker than usual, took ages getting the oil into syringe and even longer to inject into quad!! Must of hit a nerve the first attempt, my leg started jumping soo had to pull out and re enter further up the leg. Leg fees a little dead already! def going to get PIP this time round. I will post up results of blood work as soon as i get them.

    Cheers

HCG is still at 100 iu each day, must say i feel much better with this protocol, i stoped taking arimidex a few weeks back when i felt estrogen sides had slowed.

    First time reading this thread.

EB your LH level pre-TRT is great yet your T was abysmal. This indicates it's probably testicular in nature. Have you ever had an ultrasound done to check for issues, varicoceles, etc?

Your prolactin's elevated as it follows estrogen. It should come down as your E lowers.

No mate, went to the top endo in my area with my results, he said level were fine and i should just get on with it, that it was a sign of getting older..........i googled him when i got home, he is the top guy in england against TRT!! he says men do not need it and is waging a liittle war against trt.

My doc just kissed his ass, told me to follow the 5:2 diet lol! so i chucked the towel in and went it alone. feel way better for it!

i have a damaged left testicle from when i was a kid.

Sometimes I wonder how we survived as kids with all the damage we have done to our bodies. Oh yeah, we definitely pay for it later on in life, as you are just starting to find out.

You know little girls (in my day) use to think it was funny to kick boys in the balls and now we are finding out just how much damage it can really cause. I wonder how they would feel if boys punching them in the boobs was found to significantly increase breast cancer????

Are you still running your AI at .5 EOD? Hope you dont crash your E2. Remember it's always easier to start lower and adjust up than trying to adjust down. I would have gone with .25 like suggested by BinB

Best of luck and keep us informed.

I true about the ball kicks off the lasses when we are kids...haha so true on surviving, i used to hang off bridges and jump across roof gaps! i look back and i get a little scared lol...puts me off having a kid, thinking they might carry on like i did!

I went to every 3 days on the AI and stopped when i felt the estro sides getting easier.......i have a pill cutter but even that wouldnt cut into quaters, just turned to dust!

You could always crush the tab and put em in 4 equal piles(.25) then put the rest in a plastic tray or something of that nature

    Blood test results from 05-06-15.

These were taken 10 weeks after my loading shot.

    Testosterone -16.7 nmo/l (8.6-29)
    SHBG-23 nmo/l (14.5-48.4)

    FSH-2.4 u/l (1.5-12.4)
    LH-1.5 u/l (1.7-8.6)
    Oestradiol-90 pmo/l (28-156)
    Prolactin-155 mu/l (86-324)

    PSA-0.556 ng/ml (0.000-1.400)

Here are my latest blood tests, i think everything looks ok? got PSA this time around also. Im going to lower the length of next injection to 9 weeks. These results coincide with how i felt, the last 2 weeks before last injection i was feeling crap again.

Any thoughts on the above results?

    Cheers

Well you might continue getting a build up and, if so, your readings after 10 weeks might be higher next time. But you are also using UGL which may not be dosed right so try a week shorter and see. Top 3rd of the range is where you want to be but not so high that your test and e2 shoot up too high after each shot.

Just ordered a FBC blood test from medichecks, its a finger prick test. Normally i use blue horizon and get blood drawn from nurse BUT if medichecks works out and the process is smooth then i could be saving over £100 a time!
