Going on trt at 33
I was just diagnosed with low test due to a pituitary gland abnormality. The doctor prescribed me at 2ml once a month. Waiting for the testosterone to come in on Tuesday and getting my first shot. I did a cycle when I was 25 and I felt amazing, I just figured that was to be expected and came off to find out I’ve likely always been low t. I don’t want to go on test but I have no other option unless I want to continue to feel like crap. The doctor is dosing me 2ml once a month, he also offered a cream but said would be more expensive. I’m just looking for some advice from guys who have been on trt for awhile and could give me some tips. I’m excited but nervous, I didn’t plan on this and it’s now a forever thing apparently but I am excited to be normalmente again anyways.

Did you get your pituitary gland abnormality addressed, or can it be?
I prefer 2 injections per week for more steady test levels. I’ve never gone the cream route. Some clients have tried, but once they overcame the fear of needles, they were glad they switched.

2ml of what per month? What kind of testosterone is it and how many mg of testosterone is there in each ml?
TRT is a breeze. Just do your research on "possible" side effects and keep an eye out for them, depending on your dose you can probably get away with no AI. Good easy rule is, "No water retention? No ED? No sensitive nipples? No AI!"

33 is awful young for TRT. Once a month dosing is a tremendous red flag. Maybe you can share your blood levels?

Pituitary adenoma I assume? Tell us a little more please.
Other than that, your doctor is an absolute idiot wanting to dose you once per month. I'd strongly suggest finding another doctor who understands hormones. At a bare minimum injections should be once per week.
Take some time and read some of the sticky threads at the top of this forum.

It appears using the super long ester testosterone is what they are teaching in medschool now. For me 7 of 7 doctors have told me..you will die using Test E you must use Undecanot or whatever it is. I usually get up in the middle of the talk and walk out without paying. They are just looking to avoid paperwork as far as I can tell. Super long esters are the absolute most dangerous use of testosterone there is. With half life of over a month how the hell do you back off if there is an issue.
Damn PRC doctors wanted me to do test pills and creams. They are so afraid to puncture the skin it is rediculious. Zero ability outside of their programming. Thank goodness for this site.
