Hummm, I would ask for a 2nd opinion on that protocol. Your total test is great as is the free test, doesn't seem very good to shutdown your testis.
I would supplement vit d3 and zinc and do another bloods in a month or so.
Do you agree with this treatment?

We did a heavy Zinc, D3, and B regiment to no avail on the elevated SHBG. Also checked liver functions, thyroid etc. I pulled clinicals on PubMed to theory check the testosterone therapy to push the SHBG down, and its got legs as far as credibility. Not sure at this point, I went with what one of the better known doctors recommended.

What symptoms do you feel and how many bloodworks were done?
-
10-10-2016, 05:33 PM #7
A lab from approximately 14 months ago was the first, a second about 8 months ago, and the latest two are posted here. I believe I had a total SMAC/Chem writeup at OPMC (where I worked ER, CCU and ICU). I wonder if I pulled those records if it would show anything that far back.
As far as symptoms... nothing that I can put a finger on. No fatigue, no restlessness, nothing that stands out. I have an ectopic beat issue, but that has run in my family for generations.
Good questions BB, but not sure how to answer it at this point. 12 years in the medical field, BMC, and general med and I am pulling a blank stare.

BB I should clarify that the two older labs were presurg (a hernia repair, and then another repair because it did not take). Busted my butt chasing a calf down on the farm, one leg went one way, the other went somewhere else, and my face landed... well I don't remember. LOL.

If you want to go the TRT route who am I to judge (although I didnt have your free test values), but if you dont have low T symptoms theres no reason to start TRT (IMO).
Again you have great total T and free T, I would like to see DHT values as well, but if you feel good no need whatsoever to rush it.
You didnt show any lipid profile, but its probably good, you seem to be in excelent health.
Maybe a bit light for this forum ussual, but guess you are not a bodybuilder hehe
Does bodybuilding interest you? Why you buying gym stuff?
Sorry for the questionaire lol

It actually started from an MVA (motor vehicle accident), in which 2 discs were bulging from the accident, and physical therapy did not work. They tried to send me to a pain clinic to get put on round the clock codeine (not happening, nope), so the only option left was Fusing the Discs, and that is not happening. My doctor suggested I start working out, and try to use exercising and bodybuilding to literally reinforce that area. I thought it had merit, and started to pursue it. Soon after I pulled labs because I like being thorough (especially being from the medical field), and we saw the elevated SHBG. Tried a regiment of vitamins and minerals to suppress it, that did not work. So it was like the perfect alignment... as many others on PubMed... use testosterone to force the SHBG down. So everything colluded together, the training to try to strengthen the injury and the testosterone for the SHBG. My position was that If I was going on Cypionate , then I was going to learn everything about it, inside and out. KA's, Adverse Reactions, Attritions, everything I can.
No, this all fell together. I am not the type of man to buy a bottle, and roll the dice. My wife and daughter are Homeopathic / Nutritionists, and really know food. So I admit, I sat back and thought it through and came to the conclusion that I wanted to see "me" at my ideal body weight and as close to pain free as I can be with two unaligned C2's.
I found this site, saw the maturity of many members, and saw the cautious nature of posters trying to protect the "Young Bucks", and thought it was a good place to settle in. I have a very long road ahead of me, but I am very resolved when I set a goal.Last edited by CrossOps; 10-10-2016 at 06:10 PM.

Oh and trust me BB, the hardest thing about all of this is having to show a picture of myself from the start. Yes, I am embarrassed, and no that wont stop me.
-

The problem I see with your protocol is that after this cycle/period on TRT, if you decide to stop, your endogenous T might not go back to previous values and the SHBG might still be high.
But lets see others opinions
And sorry for your accident.

Totally agree with BB. I see no reason to shut down your HPTA just to suppress your SHBG a bit more. It doesn't really matter if it's slightly elevated as long as your numbers are otherwise fine and you feel good. It's simply uneccessary to shut yourself down to accomplish this. Take a look into Danazol and at the same time maybe some Stinging Nettle Root and Avenacosides.
It would be another story if your T was crap but it's not. I'd keep it simple and follow BB's advice...

10-11-2016, 12:14 PM #15
That usually works well but there is one problem: your blood don't display any obvious reason for high SHBG; I'm more inclined to think of it as your physiological value.
You got enough free Test coupled with lowish E2 and that configuration should be enough to dial down SHBG on its own, however something is not working normally, and I suspect not even exogenous Test will do the trick here. Like BB said, it would be interesting to know DHT levels.
I recall a guy from the TRT section with SHBG always around 80 whom had to resort to low dose stanozolol to bring it down.
What's sure however is TRT will raise free Test no matter the SHBG, thus nullifying its impact... but personally, in the absence of symptoms and with natural tT/fT levels that high I wouldn't drop the TRT bomb on my system.

This is probably part your problem regarding your low weigh.
With your testosterone it shouldnt be too difficult to put some flesh on your bones, but you might need to steer away from what your wife and daughter eat, that might turn into a problem lol.
Ask your wife for a detailed weight gain diet for you and post it here. Errr, only do it if you (she as well) accept criticism

Now bear in mind we are still learning how to modify a diet for me, or at a minimum a flow pattern. We have just started so we are learning, and slowly ramping calories up:
Breakfast:
1 Serving Raisins
4 Cups Milk
1 Cup Oatmeal (before preparing)
2 Slices Whole Wheat Peanut Butter Toast
Snack:
2 Bananas
1 Olive Oil & Vinaigrette Shooter (about half a shot glass, and yes I like the taste heh)
Lunch:
Homemade Pizza 12" (Black Olives, Olive Oil, Home Ground Wheat to Wheat Crust, Spinach Leaf, mozzarella cheese, organic (home grown) basil)
Chili Cheese Fries (2 potatoes worth) <- couldn't help myself
Snack:
Guacamole Dip (3 avocados), Olive Oil + Flax Seed Tortilla Chips
Dinner:
Corned Beef and Hash (4 Servings, sautéed in coconut oil) <- this is one of my favorites to eatLast edited by CrossOps; 10-13-2016 at 06:35 AM.

To Clean? Bear in mind we have not, nor have I ever added a Whey Protein Shake. I have approximately 60 pounds of Whey Protein on standby to start. My daughter has drafted up my shakes which are close to 2,050 calories each. I will post them when I get the full break down.
Currently I do believe I am on target at 3,000 to 4,000 calories per day. Once the Whey Protein shakes are added in, I believe daily consumption should be around 5,000 to 7,000 calories realistically. It took a while to get used to 3,000 to 4,000 calories, and yes I thought I was going to get sick quite often.Last edited by CrossOps; 10-13-2016 at 06:20 AM.

I will admit, when your in the company of some absolute monsters and people that push the brink of dedication on this forum it is both inspiring and intimidating.
But with that said, I can take the criticism if it comes about my present condition. This is where I started on this day, when we look back.

You have the macros for that day?
Its like 60 or 70% fat, I would feel terrible on such diet although some ppl (mostly women on my experience) like it.
Clean? Sorry but it sounds like a joke, clean in my book means unprocessed, whole, and organic when possible.
Milk? Geez, this is going to be discussed in stages lol, will continue later.
Just wondering whats the explanation to take bananas with olive oil?

10-13-2016, 07:25 AM #24
Unless I am charting wrong it was 45% Fat, 40% Carbs, and 14% Protein (bear in mind I had not transitioned the levels to training percentages). I may need to switch programs as the macronutrient levels are not fully reporting on this app, or at least not for me. I was using MyPlate but it can be a little buggy apparently.
Not sure how to answer your statement on how it made me feel. I felt normal for what I consider to be. As far as the pizza... We grind our own wheat using a Blendtec to make our own breads and doughs, it starts with raw organic white wheat. Definitely not processed. Neither is the sauce that we use from our garden, even the basil is home grown. Oatmeal is steel rolled organic, potatoes are from the garden etc. Not sure about all the processed food you are referring to? Milk is organic etc.
But I know your trying to bump me in the right direction so no worries there. We have a decent sized garden that we grow a lot of vegetables in, then can and jar or dehydrate for future use. Are they dirty calories? No they are not, and that is where I am trying to refine things.

Fun photos, why not?
We hunt, and butcher our own meats generally. We do batches of 200 pounds of sausage at a time, smoked over Blackjack for 36 hours.
Deer Jerky. We make a LOT lol.
Hundred of tomatoes are picked, jarred, crushed and frozen, etc.
We jar pickles until we are burned out, but the girls love it.
One of our cookouts.
We have dozens of hives and harvest raw organic honey by the 5 gallon bucket.
Honey in mason jars for friends and family.Last edited by CrossOps; 10-13-2016 at 02:43 PM.

Anyway, back on track BB. So what do you suggest? Dirty up the calories more? I know the calories need to be increased (we are adding a very high calorie shake), and the ratios modified, no argument from me there.

Yeah, putting things aside you need to increase protein.
Im not high protein guy, but still you need minimum 150gr protein, above 200 would be optimal.
Then you need about 2200 calories from carbs and fats, personnaly I feel better on lower fat, about 20% of total calories. This would put you on 3000 cals.
Great that you that garden thing, sorry, not usual around this hood lol
So you need to include meat and fish, around here we tend to eat a lot of grilled chicken breasts, I eat a lot of fish too as I live by seaside.
Shakes I use them for when I dont have time to cook, think real food is better.

Just took delivery of leaf /seed based cold pressed CBD Tincture, 1000mg sublingual. I know KNOW this stuff works. This will be part of my regiment for sure.

Thanks for the photos, bet you need 1000 plus cals to take care of all that...

Roger that. Meat will NOT be an issue to get, we throw it out at end of season sometimes due to having to much from the previous year. So we need a big boost in proteins. I fish the beach and intra-coastal for redfish often enough, but swapping meats for fish is relatively easy enough from a Charter Captain friend of mine. Looks like chicken will be a new friend heh.
I do not like processed foods at all. The ICU / CUU Ward I worked was filled with men that were dealing with AMI & CHF issues after a life of processed food and poor diets. We saved some when they coded, some not. So I know the dangers of that garbage, and it WILL catch up with you. The human body was never meant to process Bovines, Hormones and other stuff they use to accelerate growth in food based poultry. Its a time bomb.

I should clarify that. We use grass fed organic or the steers that get butchered on the farm every so often give us a few hundred pounds of beef no problem. But the grocery store bought beef we are extremely picky about. We avoid the use of the Ivermectin's and Bovine's on what we are going to butcher.

What about training? What are you doing and past experience?
-
10-13-2016, 10:26 AM #35
I will be learning form, and a training regiment from a friend of mine Tristan Moore. I have no prior training experience at all.
Tristan wants me to learn proper form for the first 30 days, and will be setting up my schedule. I will post it here when I receive it. He wants 4 days on, 3 off, high intensity, and a maximum time of 45 minutes training per day. He is adamant about it actually.
I ordered the Powertec Multi System with the various accessories. So yes, I am mentally all in. I am really wanting to start, but want it done right.Last edited by CrossOps; 10-13-2016 at 10:43 AM.

Due to time constraints, distance, and my personal preferences I elected to use the same home equipment (the Powertec Multi System) that he uses. This may change later, but for the first year this is what I am working with, well that and various other instruments, weights, etc.
