    Tesamorelin cycle

    Hi everyone,

I haven't seen anyone on here run a Tesamorelin cycle, and I have wanted to test this for some time. I spent a lot of time (probably an excessive amount) researching it, and as this is purely for fun ($2,200 of fun), I am following the exact protocol of one of the studies I found. I am keeping my diet at a maintenance level of about 3000-3200 calories/day. Tesamorelin is taken at 2mg/day; on average, people lose around 15-20% of their body fat. So, the goal is to run this and see if body fat is lost while eating like usual. My diet is decently detailed, so macros are around 330g of Carbs, 80g of fat, and 242g of protein.

I will measure weight and waist size, and that's it. Body fat on the scale is so off it is not worth it. A typical cycle is 26 weeks (182 days), and I am starting at 100 days and will reevaluate once I close in on days 80-90 to see if I should buy more and continue. The total cost of a cycle like this would be close to $4,400, so I hesitate to complete the process.

Starting Monday, I'll drop in my values then and keep updates to about one/week.

    /t

If you goal is to reduce BF% you can do it by customizing your nutrition and cardio.

For way less than 4 grand.

I JUST TODAY reconstituted the single vial of tesamorelin that I have on hand. I will get nothing from it, I suppose, but I thought I had some Mod-GRF 1-29 to go with the Ipamorelin I also reconstituted today.

I really ought to take a more thorough inventory of what I have on hand...

Agreed. Not the point of this cycle though. Think of this as purely “because I can” as I sort of alluded to in my intro.

Pretty easy peasy to inject this stuff. Measurements are the same as last week.

Has the tesamorelin done anything for you other than fat loss? Are you sleeping better, have more energy, and / or shagging cinder blocks into dust?

In one word, No. I have not noticed anything, to be honest, but maybe I should have. I guess I'm finishing week five now, so almost half way through what I planned.

So if I do my metric conversion right, it sounds like you have lost right at 2 inches?

Amazingly dropped another .5 cm. Been traveling a lot for work this fall and I never bring gear so have a couple of more weeks to finish this out. I’ll try to take some fancy new.pics when done.

Here is my final check-in on this cycle, some general reflections, and a few pictures. I'm not very good at taking pics, but it is what it is, right? I had 100 vials, but due to travel and such, the cycle lasted close to 120 days.

In general, the most significant pain was to prep the vials. Each vial contained 2mg Tesamorelin, and when you have 100, it’s a major PITA. The good thing about individual vials is that you do not need to be very careful with the bacteriostatic water you put in there, as it’ll be 2mg per jab, no matter what.

I never had a feeling of being on anything and no noticeable sides. Of course, there could be unknowns in the bloodstream, but I do not own my lab, so I said, “Oh, this is how it feels,” which was nothing.

Cycle, as mentioned in my starting post, is crazy expensive. If you are a regular Joe and want to cut, modifying and doing some diet restrictions will be way more bang for your buck.

My results by numbers were decent. After about 50 days, I added a ~250-300 kcal deficit to see how much that would help, and it helped accelerate my fat loss. I started at about 192lb and 36.2” waist. I ended at 177lb and 33.4” waist.

I am happy to answer questions.

    END CYCLE

This is cool, thanks for sharing!

Lots of questions forth coming, but one that comes immediately to mind is have you thought about doing similar with one of the Glp-1 agonists like semaglutide or tirzepatide? Once a week dosing seems advantageous long term, but I've only just started looking at those.

I used semaglutide when I lived in India way before it went a bit nuts over that compound after I got a tip from our resident girl here. Worked great but not looked at it ever since.
