    My Pic

Hopefully, my pic attached worked. It was snapped probably about a year ago while working out at home. Not a whole lot to see, but will give you an idea. Please be kind. I haven't been at it that long.

What I did when I began working out a while back ago was take a "snapshot diary" of my progress....knowing that I probably wouldn't recognized gradual improvement. It's been a tremendous help. I've come a long way. As I said, I have no desire to have a bodybuilder's build, I'm happy with that gymnast look.

Thanks New Kid. And no I really, really don't have any decent stuff to workout on (at least when that pic was taken, less than a year ago). I do 1500+ crunches per day, upper/lower/side obliques and pushups til I can't stand it, squats. Oh, and there's a lot of stairs in the house, so that probably helps some. That's about it. All I really work out with is what is built into my body.

Here, where I am living now, I have use of a full workout station but don't use it that much. Honestly, the only thing I use it for it the lat pulldown. Seems a waste I know, but I prefer non-mechanical workouts.

You're very kind, New Kid. Thanks. Helps a lot to hear such a nice compliment and is very encouraging. I don't go to a gym. I am WAY too self-conscious...so it's always been home working out for me.

Water intake is normal and I always have a bottle with me. Will be mindful and drink more. Also, take into account the picture quality, the lighting in the room, the cam is was taken with, etc. Not the best around.

That pic is just about a year old and I am bigger now (don't have the exact date), so my chest is much larger now. Much more mass, more cleveage.

    Thanks for the constructive criticism.

I thought pulling down the shorts a little was a little provocative....maybe some didn't think so. And that's alright.

you look like one of my bros.

    He's a gymnast.

He beat me in my first contest... with very little weight-training under his belt.

    Nice physique man

You look like you're on high doses of GH. Legs definitely need more mass.

Really not that dry. White halogen torchere lamp in the room, not the best digital cam, reduced quality picture for posting on the web. I will be increasing my water intake though. My diet is quite healthy. Lots of greens, red meat and protein wherever I can get it.

Maybe a little more mass in the chest. I'm not aiming to be big, like a bodybuilder. I know some of you compete in contests, against each other. I'm just a guy who works out and I like my gymnast build and plan to maintain what I have, and just perhaps increasing muscle mass in the pecs. Maybe.

I'm not sure why people say this. I competed gymnastics for 20 years. You are not built like a gymnast.

I have no idea what GH is, so no....I am not on high dose of whatever that is. Let alone a dose at all. No idea what GH is.

I watched the Summer Olympics and with all due respect, I'm closer than you are...of that I am sure. Unless your picture is completely deceptive. You've much more body fat than I do. I'm much more at home on the rings, and pummolhorse and a floor routine. JMHO, but you've too much bulk dude.

    New pictures soon

I'll be posting more pics soon, that will show in more definition my body type. Again, I don't profess to be a bodybuilder type (don't want to be), but I too competed in gymnastics, so I am not speaking about something of which I know nothing about.

I compete bodybuilding now. I quit gymnastics 7 years ago and put on 70 pounds of mass since then.

FYI... It's not called a saw horse. I't's called a pommel horse. Springboard? I guess you're referring to diving not gymnastics.

You competed gymnastics and didn't know it's called a pommel horse? ...Interesting. How long ago and what level did you compete. I was level one. What were your best events?

Im not trying to pick on you are anything, but you seem to be saying you have never taken any type of anabolic substances or diurectics at the least. I find that hard to believe, and find some of your other statements to be fishy. You know, its cool to tell the truth here bro. Another thing you keep doing is trying to defend yourself in saying your not trying to be a bodybuilder, or look to bulky, and thats cool, but I havent once seen anybody try to tell you other wise. You just seem kind of uptight to me. Whats the deal? You dont have to be a bodybuilder to come and hang out on the sight, we are all here to help one another with diet and excersise.

    Thanks all

To Juddman, goalseeker(THANK YOU!), SVTMuscle, BlueAndromeda73, Mike Dura, BeerBaron (I think that was a compliment), Narkissos, New Kid.....THANK YOU all for your compliments and constructive criticism. I don't know exactly what brought me here to this website, but I looked around and decided to register and hopefully get some encouragement from members and to benefit from the knowledge concerning my workout routine.

To WHOADY4SHOADY....if you look for my original post (under NEW MEMBERS, I believe) you will see I said I take 300mgs of Deca Durobulin and 200mgs of Testosterone each and every week. Which means I could bulk up even more, but I choose to remain around where I am. Perhaps, perhaps, a little more mass in the pec area and I did post about someone helping me find a way around working out my biceps when they become so pumped up and hard as rocks so quickly that they render themselves immobile. But being defensive...I don't think so. I suggest you back up and read the entire thread with an open mind. And please don't read into that that I believe you've a closed mind.

Ever since Narkissos said "You look like one of my bros" who was a gymnast, Carlos_E seemed to go on the attack, saying "I'm not sure why people say this. I competed gymnastics for 20 years. You are not built like a gymnast". I've been the one on the offensive. It's almost as if he felt I was putting myself "above" him in some way. Maybe he has some alpha male thing going on, Top Dog, I don't know. Don't really care.

I said I never claimed to have the build of a true bodybuilder, as one who competes, and didn't want to be one, or I would be...I have the energy and the resources. I likened my build, just barely, to a gymnasts', to which Narkissos agreed and I received other compliments on my build and since that post, Carlos_E seemed to be annoyed by that compliment I received. Which is fine. I'm not in competition with anybody and I'm not feeling like my glorydays are behind me. Perhaps Carlos_E is wishing for the days when he was young and competing in gymnastics. Curious he doesn't list a BIRTH YEAR in his biography, only a day. Competed for 20 years, huh? My..what a little, little boy you must have been. Not that I doubt your word. Or honestly, not to be cruel, even care. I don't know you, and just judging from your posting, I don't think I would bother to.

Just judging/comparing the pictures, if Carlos_E's bodyfat percentage is 7% as listed, then mine in 0% or 1%. I am 5'6" tall, weigh in at 150 lbs. and all of it is solid muscle. You cannot pinch an inch on me. Besides the obvious masculine characteristics, there is not a thing that wiggles or jiggles on me. I'm not bragging on that...that is fact. Fact being that's just the way things are.

I will stay here because 98-99% of you have been supportive and can be helpful to me, I know. And I do appreciate your feedback and I've told you so when I've received constructive criticism...because constructive criticism is helpful and we grow that way. But when I hear "I'm not sure why people say this. I competed gymnastics for 20 years. You are not built like a gymnast", well, that's just bit*hy. WHOADY4SHOADY, I can't believe you don't see that. I didn't ask for that nor did I deserve it. I wasn't putting myself on a pedestal.

So those of you who care to be supportive, I'm eager to learn from you. Those with comment like the above, can keep them to themselves. Everyone has one. Doesn't mean I have to hear it, or have asked for it.

So, with all that being said, those that are suppportive, I have a few questions:

    1. When you mention being "dry", would that refer to my skin tone, as in I'm not taking in enough water? I do try to stay hydrated (I'm one of those people who's never without their water bottle), but I do enjoy my coffee, which I know can be dehydrating. But I'm not giving that up....I'll just have to over-compensate.

    2. What is the "winstrol look"? (BeerBaron?)

    3. What is "GH", as in "You must be on high doses of "GH". I don't think I am considering I have no idea what it is.

Again, thanks to all for their support. Looking forward to learning more and reading more about everyone. I do plan to post some more pictures. I guess I'm just a glutton for punishment, huh?

Not sure what the "CFC and his squats" thing was all about, but I'm ready to move on. Just wanted to make myself clear and not be misunderstood.

It's just easier to get along.

I competed gymnastics on and off from age 6 to 29. I quit 7 years ago at age 29. I am 36 now. The relevance of which I have no clue.

In such a long post you still didn't answer my question. You claim that you were a gymnast, now you say you are not. You say you have a gymnast build. That's like a guy claiming to have a swimmer's build and have never step foot into a swimming pool and do not know how to swim.

that is what its about ...Read the thread from cleanforchrist, that is now locked . There was so many negative comments on there towards the guy, who at least had the guts to post his pic, that they made me sick.
I just wish people could stick to constructive critisism....
I mean, thats why we post it up there, to see what people think, and try to better ourselves from the outside comments..not argue...

Move on Carlos_E. Take your pedestal and set it up elsewhere. I've moved on. I suggest you do the same. What do you do, live on these boards??? Obviously, with over 4000 posts. Geez. GAL.

And for the record, what I DID say is that I likened my build to a gymnasts', to which some agreed, and that I DID compete in gymnastics. I didn't recant a thing.

You want me to address your entire post? Tell you what...hold your breath. I'm moving into the light for more postive reinforcement. Stay in the black, if you wish. I'm through here. Say anything you wish, you're officially on "ignore". You will be addressed by me no longer. Have a good life.

SteveinNC, I didnt mean to come off as an Ahole. I guess I misunderstood or took what you were saying in the wrong way, and I apologize for that, but my post was taken out of context also. I was just saying, that there was no need to lie(not that you did) or feel that you had to prove to us that you were a gymnast. Thats why I stated that we are all here to help each other with working out and dieting for anything or sport not just bodybuilding in a sense of competing. Good luck with everthing, and no hard feelings.

Thats why I stated that we are all here to help each other with working out and dieting for anything or sport not just bodybuilding in a sense of competing. Good luck with everthing, and no hard feelings.
I just wanted to make sure you read through the entire thread and understood the unprovoked attacked. I was, at one time a gymnast. And still believe, as others do related and unrelated to this board, do.

Yes, the sawhorse thing was funny. One of those times when I knew what it was, but typed what I was thinking instead. Hard to explain.

Psssst...I think someone's not getting the ego stroking he so obviously craves. It's almost like a child saying..."He's saying he's competed in gymnastics and he's got a gymnasts' build?!?!?!?!?! Well, I DID, I DID TOO! WAAAA!!!. Someone say so. I competed for over 20 years. Someone please acknowledge me before I throw a hissy gfit." Whoops, too late. LOL! Now THAT'S funny! LOL! I'm 9 years his senior (I posted my actual birthyear...not one to go "Well, how old do you think I look? Fishing.) and I have the body of someone 16 years his junior. That's bound to get to anyone. I'm understanding it all better now. Like I said, moved on.

Good luck to you WHOADY4SHOADY. Have a good one.

IMHO, you need to chill out bro..
Carlos was just calling you out to make sure that you're not coming on this board and shooting a bunch of crap like alot of people do. Don't get so defensive and don't start writing shit like that about members who have been here for years and know what they are talking about. All the crap that you are saying is making you look like the imature one so you just need to chill out. You have a very nice physique and some are going to think you look one way, others another. Just take it in stride and move on. That's what this board is here for. You are the one that posted your pictures
