Fireguy -- Whats my BF?
Fireguy, you seem to be the expert around here. By all means, anyone else is free to chime in. I was quoted at 12% by another member but comparing myself to others here that claim to be 10%, 11% or 12%...either they are WAY off or I'm WAY off with 12%. I think it's a little of both.
Comparing myself to others here, AFTER a vet corrects them, I'm thinking 10%...possibly 11%. What do you think? Thanks.

I think your assessment of 10-11% is pretty accurate. Conditioning looks really good.

Anytime, drop another 5-7 lbs of fat from where you are now and you will be well into single digit % and looking hard as nails.

I plan to bulk until the end of the year, maintain until about end of March, serious cut from April 1 - May 31, maintain for summer. I have never tried to cut before, I just eat healthy. I think it's a good idea to give SERIOUS effort towards a cut diet while I still have a great metabolism. I will hit you up end of May to show you my results if I stay on schedule.

Thanks bro! 4 weeks into a bulk cycle so I will gain some fat but as I said to Fireguy, I'm gonna do a serious cut afterwards to get into single digits with more mass. Can't wait!
BTW that is 100% natty. This is my first cycle and the Test has not kicked in yet. You can get there, just be persistent and committed.

10-26-2009, 06:53 PM #15
5:00AM
Steak (4oz)
Eggs (2 Whole)
Milk (12 oz.)
---In a Blender:---
Oats (1 Cup)
Isopure (1 scoop)
Banana (1)
V8 Fusion Light (1 Cup)
Water (1 Cup)
Workout
8:00AM (PWO)
Cran-Grape Juice (12 oz.) <--For Glucose
ON Whey (3 scoops)
Milk (16 oz.)
11:00AM (this is when it starts getting tough)
Tuna (2 cans)
Mayo (2tbsp. Lowfat)
Onion Bagel (1)
Sunflower Seeds (1/4 Cup)
2:00PM
Whatever dinner was night before
At least 500 Cal and some kind of meat, never fish cause I'm at work
6:00PM
Dinner...
M: Chicken of sorts, try to mix this one up a bit
T: Steak (1" Strip)/Green Beans
W: Pork Chops (2)/Edamames
R: Steak (1" Strip)/Green Beans
F: Salmon/Brown Rice/Broccoli (Carbs allowed cause it's Friday and I'm staying up)
S: Cheat - Has been a large Pizza EVERY time...this Italian place is amazing!
U: Chicken Caesar
8:00PM
Yogurt (6 oz.)
Isopure Zero Carb (1 Scoop) (Strawberry)*
ON Casein (1.5 Scoops) (Creamy Vanilla)*
Milk (2 cups)
This is just under 4,000 cal
Macros are 50%P, 40%C, 10%F
*Put flavors there because the shake tastes better than anything I've ever had before. Def worth a try if anyone is considering a new late night shake.
**Carbs are almost 0 at 2:00 and 6:00.
***Could use some more fruit and EFA's
****2 shakes only if you're not counting breakfast. Breakfast is all real food except for that one whey scoop
Obviously I'm bulking and the diet is no where near perfect...but it's working great for me. I've never had issues with fat so by perfecting the diet, I don't think it would do all THAT much for me. Honestly, I think the few poor parts of the diet are good because they keep me going. For example, there is too much sugar in that late night shake (yogurt has jam in it) and carbs (casein). To make that perfect, I'd be tempted to not even eat it. Started with this about 2 months ago and I'm +8lbs.Last edited by fig; 10-26-2009 at 07:00 PM.

u must have some gnarly digestion issues with all that protein my god. u must fart all day long.
obviously this is working for you, but i may say try lowering the protein quite a bit and upping the clean carbs. will save your wallet and you may notice what i have that strength is through the roof!!
good Job BTW u look Gr8

I must say, I've been farting like a monster the last few weeks. I was attributing it to Avodart (I'm sure some of it is) but didn't realize excess protein can do that. I have limited knowledge with diet and love experimenting so I will try adding carbs...god knows I've been craving them lately. Strength has been somewhat stagnant so we'll see if his helps.
Thanks for the compliment. It is quite meaningful when it comes from you guys as opposed to the morbidly obese people I work with

I would agree 10-11% bf. Is that what you normally maintain throughout the year?

It depends what machine you are using.
I was speaking in general about BMI, even though I believe many people do not even know what is a Body Composition Assessment (BCA).
It is used by the military fields and together with the hydrostatics balance is, presently, the best available methodology.

I see what you mean but there are several types of BMI too, professional ones.
They are not hand made and other parameters are taken into account. It is a sort of NMR, while some others, less accurate, use the impedance.
In any case, if it is you in the pic... we both know you are not 20% bf.

40:40:20.. to start.
From there, one can tweak it further to the individual.
I see guys jumping on the 60+% carb intake bandwagon since George Farah stated that his athletes use 65% carbs during their contest preps.
NB: I'm not disputing George's figures.
I just find it laughable how members jump from one extreme to another here.
Run a search on the trends here, and you'll realize that the same guys suggesting one thing were the ones backing a completely different thing just months prior.
