youtube before and after clip/cyclic ketogenic diet/advise please
Hi all,
Here is a clip of my 6 week before and after transformation (thanks to my trainer who didn't consult me first, really embarrasing).
http://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&rc...5j4pNR-ZEKH93Q
Training 3 days on 1 day off, less than 10grams carbs per day (only from vegies) 6 times a week, high protein 200g-250g a day (Cyclic Ketogenic Diet).
1 day off a week high carbs.
I'm not sure about the cyclic diet.
Goal is to lose fat and gain some muscle for some definition.
Stats: 6ft, 95kg (209 pounds), 19%-20% body fat currently.
Diet:
6 x per week
7:00am 1 x OxyElite Pro Capsule
7:30am Protein shake 30g-40g protein
9:30am Half chicken (skin included)
12:30pm 2-3 cans of tuna 18g protein each can.
3:30pm 250g chicken brest, 100g vegies
5:30pm - 4 x whole eggs
7:00pm - Workout
8:00pm - Protein shake, teaspoon creatine 30g-40g protein
9:30pm - 250g steak and 100g vegies
11:30pm - 2 x tuna can 18g protein each (may skip this at times)
Day off is pretty much the same but will have bread, pasta, and musly bars added to each meal but no real consistancy on a weekly basis carb wise.
My main question is about diet, what do you guys think is best to lose fat and gain muscle for someone with my build?
Most of the stuff I read online about cutting phase include consistant carbs through out the day but just at a lower rate, is this a better way?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Dec11, well the clip shows my profile front, side and back from when I started a new program as well the cyclic ketogenic diet and then again 6 weeks later. I thought it gave a pretty even look on all angles did it not?
Anyway considering you cant notice any difference I guess that answers one of my questions. Little dissapointing I suppose.
Also wanted to know if the CK diet was a good approach for my build to lose fat and gain muscle.
My stats before I dont really know, I do know the scale was at 100kg so I have lost 5kg, but thats probably mostly from less food and water wieght stored in my body from taking in less. I also recall the scale showing a reading of 23% bf at the start now its reading at 20% not sure how accurate it is though.
And yea I was only attempting a bit of light humour when I said it was embarrasing,,, sheesh,,,

I see a drop in size, did you gain or loose muscle in the 6weeks?
What are your future goals?

Thanks for the reply guys. Feed back not to positive though lol but I appreciate the honesty.
Basically I think our goal was to get my bf% down and try and gain a bit of muscle to get some definition.
At the moment it simply feels like I have shrunk and lost both fat and muscle evenly keeping the same bf% even though my weight has dropped heaps.
I think I should have just stuck to bulking and eating like a pig by the looks of things ugh. Will take me another 2months to put the weight back on.

Good that you had the discipline to do it. i did a similar diet about 4 years ago and lost 20+ pounds but only dropped 1% BF. Since then i've done a bunch of different diets and had greater success with gaiing muscle and losing fat. i think you should consult with a different diet guy and get a training routine down. Dont just add the weight back if it is the same BF%.
Dont be discouraged - you look good - it's just not a dramatic change.
