Favorite Comments in Gym for Someone Over 40 (Over 50)
1) I'm working out and a guy comes up and says "You look real buff, I just started bodybuilding myself this year. How many years have you been working out? I'm 40 myself." The answer is "33 years, guess you'll look great around 70." Guy looks distinctly unhappy. (California, New York, Australia gyms)
2) I'm working out and younger guy walks up and says, "You look good for your age." My trainer turns red and says "He looks good for your age." (Houston, MidWest Gyms)
3) Younger guy walks up and says "I want to look like you when I get older!" and takes pictures (happens in South Africa, Saudi Arabia most often).
4) (not verbal) Guys put down weights and watch you doing exercises, follow you around and gawk (Tel Aviv, Shanghai, Al Khobar, Singapore)
5) Going through Airport Security (or any security, any police, anywhere). Either: "I have to check your shoulders." (my shoulders are too wide for the bodyscan X-Ray Backscatter machine, and they get flagged as possible weapons), or "What exercise do you do for your arms/back/shoulders/traps": response: "All of them."
and the #1 question/response
6) Guys asks "Do you use steroids ?" Answer: "Nobody my size is natural." This is usually followed up with "But I know a guy who has <bodypart> so big, but he doesn't use supplements." Answer: "I've been doing this for decades. Humans don't have natural 22" arms. He's lying."
any other fun comments?

I once asked a gentleman if he was using the rack. He replied with "If I was, there'd be a lot more weight on it".

Girl and her first time in a co-ed gym. Looks at guy and three spotters on bench (500+ lbs on bar) "why is only one of them working out and the other three just standing around"?
