    how to make weight

I'm 213ish right now. Need to make weight at 198 on the 12th. I'm holding a ton of water. Typically eat 500+ gr of Carbs a day. My plan right now is to take 20mg nolva a day next week. Drink 1 gallon of water Monday, .5 Tuesday, and 20oz wed and thu. All while spending 20min sessions in a sauna each day. Cut all Carbs tue, wed, thu. Weigh in fri morning at 8am and carb back up/rehydrate for lifting Saturday

An AI would be a better choice if you are using it to cut water

thats quite a bit to lose mate, its better to be around comp weight at this stage of the game. i never believed in dropping weight close to a meet as it takes strength away. drop 100grms off the carbs, i cant really think of much more, AI'S reducing water is a bit of a myth if you ask me, they dont drop my water on big cycles at all. nolva isnt going to do anything. you could play around with diuretics but be careful

Ever considered water and sodium loading, then you cut the sodium and load up water. Causes your body to think it's getting ample electrolytes, then when you continue the water you flush them, and then a period of no water. That with maybe some exlax might do the trick, sauna room as well? haha

Go to dr and get 50mg hydrochlorothiazide your going to have to piss every ten minuites but it will take all the water off you its good to run on a cyccle as well keeps water from putting pressure on the heart keeping blood presure from getting high.

Ffs? With my metabolism, I can eat cinnabuns and pizza everyday and still have abs. Makes it easier to hit calories for the day. Typical day goes something like this.

    Breakfast 8am:
    2 scoops trutein
    2 scoops carbon gain
    2 pancakes
    Banana

    Snack 10-11am:
    2 cups of oats

    Snack 12-1pm:
Fried chicken wrap. I hate most condiments so its just chicken, lettuce, pickles, ranch.

    Lunch 2:30pm:
Some kind of fast food most days. Yesterday I had papa johns.
2 large slices of chicken and pineapple.
    Half a cinnapie

Snack on almonds and peanuts till I get off work at 5. Then hit gym right after work.

    Dinner 7:30-8pm
    Post workout shake with karbolyn.
Yesterday I made chicken Parmesan. 1lb of chicken breast in a 4 cheese Parmesan sauce.

if you're weight class restricted then you really want to be at or not much above it around 6wks out, when i lifted 75kg class i'd have usually been 77-78kgs walk around weight and ALWAYS took myself down to 73kgs 6wks or so out and dropped all assistant exercises and focussed on 3rep sets of the 3 lifts, that way i got strong but put on minimal weight.

regardless of metabolism, always just take in what you need to make your planned weights and then recover.

by your avi you look very lean mate, might be hard for you to drop down from now on, just might be time to consider the move up. iirc you havent been in the game too long? you will keep moving up and plateau in a weight class eventually.

it was great last time around not worrying about weight but next time i want to make 90kg class, its gona be a cvnt staying at it lol.

good luck trying to get down but if you feel strength slipping then just say fvck it and go up.
82.5-100kg classes are the blue ribbon strongest classes to compete in.

    2 scoops trutein
one cup oats, in the shake

    1100
    can of tuna
    5 rice cakes

    1300
    chicken breast
    cup of oats

    1600
    fillet steak
    5 rice cakes

    1900
    6 whole scrambled eggs
    5 rice cakes

    2200
    500g natural greek yoghurt

    .
the above changes would have been mine running up until the last week of peaking, i gained consistently and had no strength drops and was weighing 220lbs on this diet. i did increase cals for last week cos i wanted to be over 100kgs and lift in 110kg class

It's going to be tough to lose that much quickly and keep your strength. If you can't lift in the 220s try cutting carbs out of your later in the day meals. Try to get your carbs in early in the day. I'm not a fan of limiting water for powerlifting. Your inviting injury if you dry out too much.

Plan B is to eat like crazy and do the 220 class. You'll be stronger and not stress out on making weight.

Well I was 208 this morning, just by cutting back on sodium last few days. Benches 225lbs for 15 today and pulled 550lb like it was 100. I've got halo and suspension ready to go so I'm hoping to keep my strength. 24hr weigh in, I should be able to recarb and hydrate pretty easily. I think. This will be my last comp at 90kg.

its when the last few lbs slope off the trouble can hit, but the gear can def pull you through if in big doses, as i discovered at my last comp.

GL and keep us posted, but def, if i were you i'd go into the higher class next time mate. you're lucky, no 24hr weigh ins here

just one question though, why you hitting reps of 15????? keep 'em down, hold the energy. i wouldnt warm up in any more than 5reps and then up to my singles fairly fast at this stage of the game, rem your last week or 5 days minimum should be spent resting, you couldnt have much time now?

If your comp is next Saturday 10/12 I'd recommend being out of the gym by Tuesday and resting the rest of the week. Your last workouts should be relatively light and to practice your form. Good pause bench and depth on the squat. I'd not go over 50-60% at most and be done by Tuesday. Best of luck bro.

Be careful of overtraining man. You can get by with more when you're younger too.

Yeah see I deadlifted last night, wasn't intending to go really heavy as I have been reduced calories for a while now and struggling, but I pulled 385x5 and wanted to increase weight a couple more times for a couple more sets, but after how difficult it was I just couldn't push myself to do anymore.
