Definately the greatest BB of all time. He really knew how to hit the Vacuums in the poses. I don't think the Pros today are mastered in the art of Vacuums, like the guys in the 70's were. Arnold,Nubret,And Zane had a Nasty Hands over head Abdominal Vacuum pose that was Sick.I gotta look for it.

    Thumbs up

This guys build is almost God-like. I give a lot of credit to the new more heavy BBers and I'm a big Coleman fan. But in my room I have a poster of Arnold and not of Ronnie because in my opinion this is the way a BBer's physique is supposed to be. But of course that's just my opinion.

    RageControl...great pic's man

Some of you guys make me laugh when you praise Arnold and then praise Coleman also. You can't even compare the two. Arnold was aesthetically pleasing. Coleman is just mounds of muscle on top of muscle. It looks like shit. It is a shame that bodybuilding has become so size oriented and not about physique anymore. Whoever is the biggest wins, not who looks the best.

They had almost all of the chemicals that are available today. I have a friend that was a powerlifter in the late 60's and early 70's. He had prescriptions at the drug store for D-bol, test, Deca , Anavar , and anything else. The guys of that time just didn't abuse them. There was no desire to look as dumb as today's bodybuilder's do.

I agree, back then Im sure arnold could still live a "normal" life and do normal stuff. Today most bodybuilders probably can't swing a golf club right or swing a baseball bat correctly because of the over abundance of muslce.

My only grip (and it's a small one) with Arnold and most of the body builders of the time is their stick-like legs. All of the bodybuiders back then had a sort of "Mighty-Mouse" look.

Even Arnold admits that he did not focus on his legs until he was an already established pro and lost a competition to someone (I forget the name).

It was not until Tom Platz came on the seen that you began to see more emphasis on full leg development.

I agree, it's all about the physique, and how it looks on certain people. Not just muscle on top of muscle. That's just a waste.

Arnold has a very, very asthetically pleasing body.

But we all must advance, if you said to Arnold back then "fancy another 30lbs of muscle" would he turn ya down???

Arnold was so compulsive he would take massive amounts of juice supplements compared to anybody else of his time. Everything that he did was to the extreme and it worked for him.

I don't think the problems come from the steroids but from the new bodybuilding drugs like HGH, insulin . BB has become insane since the early 90s.

If you look at arnold you wil notice that his chest takes up more area than his abdominals do, this is why his pecs were so spectacular. He is the ultimate meso morph.

IMO today's bodybuilders are just gross...they're just like a circus ppl go to see the shows just to at the size of these guys. I don't know too many ppl that wanna look like ronnie with his gut and everything. And just imagine the toll on the body of all the shit they take. I was reading somewhere that these guys have to inhale o2 off-stage?? I'm not saying these guys aren't dedicated..but come on 255-270 contest...

That's why i changed my whole look about steroids . I figure if they can do it with low doses back then..so should i infact i should have the advantage with all the nutrional supplements....protein bars..powders etc..etc.

Yeah, listening to Arnold in Pumping Iron and then Ronnie in The Unbelievable is "feel-the-difference" experience.
