GuacaTunaSalaMole - For those of us who don't like tuna, but know we should eat it.
I really hate tuna. Seriously, the stuff grosses me out. But, it's such a good protein source I had to find a way to eat it. Luckily, I love avocados so I made up GuacaTunaSalaMole for others who may be in the same "Hating Tuna" boat as me.
1 whole avocado, pitted and smashed
1 or 1/2 packet guacamole seasoning.
1 packet chuck light tuna in water
2-3 table spoons mayo (I use the olive oil kind)
Salt, pepper, & lemon juice to taste.
Basically it's like guacamole with tuna. Sometimes I'll buy a really firm avocado so that I can dice it up and throw it in for a chunkier consistency.

Sounds great, but too high in fat for me. Can you post macros?
Personally, I hate dry tuna, but love tuna salad (i.e. with mayo, veggies, etc). I'm always trying to find a way to eat LEAN tuna, without mayo, etc. Adding avacado would just bump the fat content further unfortunately.

Sounds pretty tasty. Although 1 whole avocado and a few tbs of mayo would be too much for my liking.
Best tuna recipe I've concocted so far is a tuna salad.
Bowl of romaine
1/4 - 1/2 of an avocado
1 hardboiled egg (optional)
diced red onion
2 cans of tuna
1-1.5 tbs olive oil
splash of white wine vinegar
tastes incredibleLast edited by jasc; 09-19-2012 at 08:21 AM.
