Does anyone think there is even a chance the Brewers would offer Fielder a long-term contract with $10 million per year? I might be stuck in the past, but history says no.

They not off to a good start with not giving him that pay increase to 900K per year. A minor chuck of change compared to what they gave Gagne and Cameron in the off-season. Take care of your own first.

Old Milwaukee Brewer Richie Sexson plays for the Mariners. I was listening to sports radio and they reported that the Seattle fans booed Sexson a lot for his poor play and big contract last season.

His retort to the fans booing him was something like: Do you think that is going to help me play better?...or something similar to that.

A friend of mine was a bat boy for the Brewers, during Sexson's run, and said that he was a real *******.

Brewers got rocked by the Royals Thursday night (3-11).

Manny Parra gave up 8 runs in less than 4 innings of work.

The Brewers might have the best hitting lineup in the NL.

They have a decent rotation, though Capuano was non-existent last year...

And yes...Sexson is a big goon. He sucks..

Capuano has even more problems now. He may need another Tommy John surgery - "torn ulnar collateral ligament". http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/new...=.jsp&c_id=mil

Brewers have took the first two games in their series with the Giants at Miller Park. Brewers tied for first place, in the National League Central Division, with a record of 4-1.

There are two guarantees about MLB.

    1) Big market teams fans will defend MLB buy saying "get your owner to spend more money".

    2) Small market teams fans want a salary cap and revenue sharing plan similar to the NFL's.

IMO, option one is just a way of ensuring that their team has a much better chance to be competitive each year.

After losing the Reds series (2-1), at Miller Park, we have the Mets coming up tomorrow (in New York).

He always shuts the Crew down. A very good pitcher that I wish was in our starting lineup.

Brewers have two hits in seven innings vs. the Mets so far. It looks like the Brewers are headed into one of those infamous Milwaukee slumps. The offense has been piss pour.

I can see why Yost is not a popular manager in Milwaukee. He keeps playing Gross, in center, even though he appears to be in a race to bat under .100.

Yep...Bob still calls the games, on the radio, for us. The Brewers own him a playoff appearance after all those horrible seasons. The games were so bad that all he could do is tell old stories to keep the fans interest.

Well...Brewers lost to the Mets 4-2 and only recorded two hits. Very disappointing performance. Three game losing streak.

Ben Sheets (Brewers) vs. Johan Santana (Mets) today. This should be an interesting pitchers dual.

Bottom of the fourth inning and we have 2-2 tie. Bill Hall had a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to tie the game.

David Wright just homered off sheets after he sat down 18 in a row. Sheets walked the next guy up (Beltran) and they took him out. 7.2 innings by sheets. 5 hits, 5k

Kapler has been a surprise. He was listed third in center behind Cameron and Gywnn. With Cameron's 25 game suspension and Gywnn's hamstring injury, Kapler has taken advantage of his opportunity and has played very well.

Sheets has been a very frustrating pitcher for us. When he is healthy, he is an ace pitcher. The problem is, he is rarely healthy. It's a contract year so maybe he will not take himself out of a game for a developing blister this time.

Gagne has been very fortunate. Despite having a terrible ERA, he has 1 win with three saves. Sooner or later his luck is going to run out.

Dave Bush is the starting pitcher for today's game against the Cardinals in St. Louis. The Crew will need to provide strong run support or they will not have a chance at a victory with Dave on the mound.

Is he a slow throwing lefty????? If so, we might have problems!!! My Cards have been playing pretty well...I'm looking forward to this series.....

Nope...he's a righty. Bush is 0-3 with an ERA over 7 after his loss to the Cards. We avoided the sweep with comeback victory in the tenth today. Fielder FINALLY hit a home run. Gagne with the save.

Sheets vs. Arroyo in Cincy. Ben should pitch well so I just hope that the Brewers can give him some run support early on.

Sheets pick up the win but has to leave after five innings due to injury to his triceps. Gagne picks up the save in 5-2 victory over the Reds.
