Sabathia is pitching fantastic! I need him to lose tonight and my Cubbies to win Game 2 of the double header. It will give us a 5 game lead again!!!

Brewers 1 Padres 0 in last night's game.
Amazing how Sheets needed a complete game shutout to win this game...fortunately he was able to do it. Congrats to Ben but the Brewers lineup seems to be getting worse.
You got to feel for the Padres Peavy. Only one run given up in seven innings of work and he takes the loss. 9-10 with a 2.63ERA. He gets worse run support than even Sheets gets.

I would work both CC and Sheets to the bone to get into the playoffs. Just getting into the playoffs is an accomplishment for a team that hasn't been in something like 26 years. Both will leave next year so we don't have to worry about overusing them...unless people are worried about their performances in the playoffs. I say just make sure you get in the playoffs first and take your chances that they will hold up.

Parra with an embarrassing performance on Saturday. He couldn't even make it out of the second inning and has been horrible since the All-Star break.
Bush didn't pitch a bad game on Sunday but the bullpen stunk. The lineup actually scored three runs which was shocking. That's one-to-two runs more than they have been scoring.
Suppan goes on to prove he hasn't been worth the money the Brewers have given him. So much for his supposed clutch pitching.
Meanwhile...the Brewers have two hit complete game thrown on them by a pitcher that was 9-11.
People keep saying how talented they are but it seems that overrated is a better word for Milwaukee.

To add insult to injury, the Cubs Carlos Zambrano throws the first no hitter in Miller Park against the Astros on Sunday.
Manager Ned Yost was fired today.

Yovani Gallardo named the Brewers starting pitcher for their game against the Phillies on Wednesday (playoffs).

Sabathia is a Yankee and Sheets is out for the year with surgery. We are going to see how good a manager Ken Macha really is.

Nice to see Gallardo getting us a win.
Hardy is really struggling in the five spot. Take him out of there before he goes into one of his long slumps.

Dave Bush was pitching a no hitter going into the eighth before the Phillies Matt Stairs hit a home run. Nice performance by Dave as the Brewers take two out of three in Philly.

Too bad Dave Bush didn't pick up the win didn't pick up the win last night. He pitched another great game at Miller Park in a win over the Chicago Cubs.

Losing three out of four to the Florida Marlins...what happened?
-
06-13-2009, 07:07 AM #468
Slow start but the Brewers put some runs on the board in the sixth inning. Nice victory over the Chicago White Sox to get out of that four game losing streak. When is JJ Hardy going to get out of this slump?

Manny Parra has three straight losses and an ERA of 11.90 in his last four starts.
-
06-13-2009, 03:14 PM #470
Parra can't make it out of the second inning and gives up six runs. Send him to the minors and look into trading for another starting pitcher.
-

One of the only bright spots in the loss is that Hoffman got an inning of work and still hasn't given up a run.

Parra was sent to Nashville yesterday. The Brewers will need to bring in another starting pitcher when Parra is scheduled to pitch again.

Things are not going to get any easier for the Brewers lineup with Mark Buehrle pitching for the White Sox today.

The Brewers have really suffered from interleague play over the years.

Brewers won a wild one over the Cleveland Indians yesterday. 12-10. Fielder hit a grand slam in the eighth inning to put the Brewers ahead. Hoffman got the save.

Brewers pick up their second win over the Cleveland Indians and move a full game ahead of the St. Louis Cardinals for first place in the NL Central.

GO BREW CREW!!! I love when Braun and Fielder do their handbag routine.
Oh and FTC!!!!

Trevor Hoffman blew the save but the Brewers were still able to pick up the victory over the Indians in extra innings. Two out of three games were he couldn't hold when we needed him to. With that said, it was his first blown save of the season.
