"What should the Brewers do when Eric Gagne returns?" http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/index.jsp?c_id=mil
My vote: Keep Salomon Torres in that role.

Cubs have won 9 straight...amazing. The Brewers need to set their sights on the Cards as they are still 3.5 games behind them.

D-Backs - Owings (6-3) vs. Brewers - Parra (3-2) @ 1:05pm

One run given up in seven innings by Parra. Excellent performance.

It will be interesting to see if Yost sticks with Kapler or goes back to Cameron.

Cameron and Gagne were horrible free agent acquisitions. Honestly, I'd rather see them go before Hall.

It's been a while since the Brewers have had a day off.

The Brewers B. Sheets (6-1, 2.71) vs. The Rockies U. Jimenez (1-6, 5.37) @ 8:05pm

Rickie Weeks was put on the 15 day disabled list yesterday.

"Here's a deal that makes sense: Brian Roberts for Rickie Weeks. The Brewers, who recently had two scouts watching the Orioles, are interested in Roberts, but it remains to be seen whether they are ready to give up on Weeks.
Roberts, a more accomplished leadoff hitter and better defender than Weeks, is a more natural fit for a contender. The Orioles, meanwhile, could be patient with Weeks defensively, much as the Twins are being patient with the erratic Carlos Gomez. Weeks would be another young, athletic building block to go with Adam Jones and Nick Markakis.
A straight-up deal might be out of the question, considering that Roberts is a free agent after next season while Weeks is under club control through 2011. But the Orioles could add a young pitcher or even one of their veteran relievers while perhaps getting another piece back in return."

Braun had his 17 HR last night. Too bad he is not hitting too good otherwise. Everyone seems to be struggling

Brewers won 10-6 over the Astros last night.
-
06-12-2008, 11:22 AM #301
Parra gets much better run support than Sheets gets.
-
06-12-2008, 11:23 AM #302
Even if Corey Hart struggles in the leadoff position, I don't see him ever getting close to the piss poor batting average Rickie Weeks puts up.
-
06-12-2008, 03:54 PM #303
Sheets gets ZERO run support (at least he got some today ) and Rickie is officially off my fantasy team, lol. Whats up Papi, just had to chime in with my Brewers/fantasy baseball team input.

I can not believe the brewers lost 2 of 3 at home. There hitting was bad in that series

Sheets should have more than nine wins this season but due to lack of run support, he doesn't. Three complete games leads the National League. Yost will never give up on Weeks no matter what. I've been hoping to see him moved down the order but it won't happen no matter how poorly he plays.

Brewers vs. Twins @ 1:10pm CST
Sheets (9-1) vs. Slowey (4-6)
Sheets could pick up his tenth win!
-
06-30-2008, 01:26 PM #307
Not one of Sheets better performances yesterday. Still...when you get ZERO run support, you're not going to be winning many games.

The White Sox helped out by beating the Cubs 5-1. Cubs got swept.
-
06-30-2008, 01:28 PM #309
Brewers - D. Bush (4-7, 4.94) vs. Diamondbacks - D. Davis (2-3, 3.68) at 8:40pm CST. Late game.
-
07-01-2008, 09:40 AM #310
As I thought, the Cubs beat the Giants (9-2) and got out of their slump.
-
07-01-2008, 09:41 AM #311
The St. Louis Cardinals beat up on the Mets (7-1). The Brewers fall another game behind the Cubs and Cards.
-
07-01-2008, 09:41 AM #312
Brewers with another piss pour day at the plate. Three runs isn't going to get the job done with Dave Bush pitching. Bush loses his eighth of the year and could approach twenty losses this season.
-
07-01-2008, 11:24 AM #313
Brewers - J. Suppan (4-6, 4.05) vs. Diamondbacks - R. Johnson (4-6, 4.94) @ 8:40 CST.
-
07-02-2008, 11:01 AM #314
It was good to see Fielder get a rest. He has really been struggling at the plate. Rivera (Fielder's replacement) hit well...as he has all season.
-
07-02-2008, 11:02 AM #315
JJ Hardy's two home runs were surprising but the good night hitting was not. His average has been steadily increasing ever since he was moved into the number two spot. Thank God Cameron isn't there anymore.
-
07-02-2008, 11:03 AM #316
This was the second time the Brewers have beat Randy Johnson this season...I believe.
-
07-02-2008, 11:03 AM #317
Braun looks like he could use a night off. 0-5 and he wasn't hitting well before last night either.
-
07-02-2008, 11:09 AM #318
Both the Cards and Cubs (sorry) lost their games yesterday.
-
07-02-2008, 11:10 AM #319
Mota has really become a liability in the bullpen.
-
07-02-2008, 11:10 AM #320
Hall made a great catch in the game but his batting average is getting close to that .200 mark.
